- American Craftsmen of NCI needed to get new siding and called around for several bids. A couple of bigger companies came out and I felt like they were talking down to me because I was a single female. One owner was even trying to make me feel I had made a big mistake when I had decided not to go with his company who had a fancy showroom. He even warned me about accepting the job from someone who worked without a showroom. When Rodney came to give his estimate, he gave the impression that he was just looking to get the job and I felt like I was treated like any other person. He sent Mike and Mike to come and install the windows and then they stayed to do all the trim and siding, and finally gutters were put up. The whole event took 2 weeks and fit exactly in the time line we set up. Mike and Mike were great and did such a good job. The trim work is remarkable and the guys did amazing work. They were very nice--answered any questions I had, didn't mind if people watched them work, spoke with any neighbors who stopped by who were curious. I felt comfortable leaving them alone to work when I had to leave the house. Rodney came out every day to make sure that I was happy with the work and addressed any minor concerns I had during the process. He called before the work started and after it was completed to check in. Any minor problems that came up he quickly fixed. Even though I was very stressed at the beginning of the job (did I hire the right person, did I choose the right colors, products) once all the materials started to arrive and the work began I was very glad I picked the contractor that I did. There was never any doubt in my mind Rodney would not resolve any minor problems that came up. The final price was exactly what the estimate said (and was the best price!) and he only got paid when I was happy with the completed work

James Taylor did a great job for me and I would hire him again. Note; James seems to hate providing estimates more than he likes collecting money. So be patient when you need an estimate. He'll come through eventually and you'll probably like the price. On the other hand, Paul will make sure you are completely satisfied. I'd definitely hire JT again

"It went OK. Only problem was that Trish is not listen to what I really wanted. I wanted that the verticals hung below the window sills. She had them come to the end of the window sills. As a result, they get caught on the sills when opening or closing them. They are not at the length I wanted."
