If I could I would give this company 0 stars. They are not honest and totally misrepresent their work in a highly unethical, illegal manner. They utilize fear mongering sales tactics to rope you in and charge astronomical prices for work that they do (in reality don't do). They are very good at this shady sales tactic. We contracted with Indoor Environmental Systems (IES) for several projects and ended paying almost $100,000 when all was said and done. Because of the issues we have experienced as detailed below, I am going to utilize an independent inspector to review all of the work that IES has done for us to make sure the rest is legit, safe and performed as contracts indicate. One of the projects was for 'Closed Crawl Space Repairs'. The scope of work detailed: Ground & foundation walls covered using insulation liner; Foam/foil (150mil) radiant barrier - Provides moisture, radon & temperature control. The main intent for these repairs was to eliminate (at the least reduce) radon. The IES salesman indicated that their process will 'most likely eliminate the radon completely' but that there was a small chance it would not and in that case we would need to contact a radon mitigation company. The completed work had zero impact on the radon levels, so I reached out to a radon mitigation company. They came and did their inspection and informed me the product used by IES is not safe for crawlspaces and does nothing to help with the control of radon. Not only is it highly flammable (they showed me by holding a lighter up to the material and it instantly combusted) but is also against building code ASTE E1745-11 CLASS A, B, C. I contacted IES with this information and was provided with a link to a general product page [*** Link removed ***] by the owner Stephen McLeoud. Nowhere on this page, or any of the specific product detail pages is there any mention of radon, let alone being able to control radon as the scope of work indicates. In a very poor attempt to further divert from being held responsible/liable, Mr. McLeoud also sent me this link: [*** Link removed ***] He stated, "When reviewing the HOW TO INSULATE A CRAWL SPACE refer to Benefits of Prodex Total Insulation In Crawlspaces, find #7 which states radon resistant." This link talks about sealing the ceiling with the product that was used, however our ceiling wasn't sealed. And using Prodex Total Under Concrete for the floors, which wasn't used on our project and is specific for being used under concrete slabs. Therefore, the statement of being radon resistant is false. Important to note that I tried contacting insulation4less.com (sole distributor of the product used) multiple times over several days to get feedback from them. It went straight to some sketch voicemail every time and I have yet to receive any call back. I even tried to contact the product manufacturer and their phone number is disconnected, and their is no email address on the website. Crazy...

Great! Stephanie managed the project perfectly. She kept me well informed and provided reminders as needed. She, Dan and Steve patiently answered my many questions. They were all very knowledgeable and I always felt they were trying to do what was best for me. Miguel and his crew did excellent work. Everyone showed up on time, was courteous, did great work and cleaned up afterwards! I don't know what more I could ask for!

They were great! The owner came and was really good! He advised me on what we could do on our own and what our options were.

We were grateful for the help we received from IES and would not hesitate to use them again.

It was okay, they did what they were supposed to do but they were to pricey. They didn't find the mold but I think they are okay. 

They need to be ready to be more clear with pricing and what it does and doesn't include. I was thinking it would be an whole inspection, it wasn't clear how many rooms would be covered. I suggest to better clarity on the pricing and what it covers.

They were fine.  Efficient and thorough and I'm very pleased with their performance. They were very quick to provide a quote.  It took a little bit to get on the schedule.  But they were quick and reasonable.  The workers were professional.

IES handled the job very professionally throughout the whole process -- from quotation through installation, including timely responses to my questions. The crew showed up on time and were very courteous to us during the whole job. They were able to complete the entire job with no problems within the specified time frame. The old and very moldy duct work in the renovated garage space was replaced according to their plan. They installed a small exhaust fan to remove/circulate air under the renovated garage space. After the installation we noticed a major improvement in indoor air quality and improved winter heating due to the fresh air intake which eliminated problems with negative pressurization. Approximately 18 months after installation we have noticed no decline in air quality. We are very pleased with the work done.

Good.  Very professional.  Very thorough.  Pricey, but worth it.  Wish they had caught the problem when they fixed my drainage and sealed my basement 1.5 years below, because I am certain that it was there before because the same symptoms in house and allergies existed between service, but they took care of my 86 year old dank basement well and I will use them again, hopefully not until their 7 year warranty wears out.

Fortunately sample analysis indicated no problems.  Recommended installing indoor humidity monitors to ensure air quality stays good and recommended addition energy conservation changes.  All will be done.
Third time I've used them and they remain exemplary.

I am going to hire Indoor Environmental to repair damage done to my crawlspace when it was treated for termites.  It is expensive, but should save me significantly with home heating and air conditioning costs in the future.

It was fine. They came out within a few weeks. They were great, gave me some ideas and that was it.

It was very good. They were very courteous. They were on time. They gave us good information. He was very courteous and very clear. He explained everything. They were a little ahead of time and they were very professional.

The service turned out good.  They were thorough in their testing and were honest in reporting they found no mold.  They could have made more money if they reported there was mold so I appreciated their honesty.

It went very well. The did the initial analysis which led to a contract for them to do the insulation.

Went great, very professional young man. He gave me a lot of information and we have used them again!
