"I like working with this company. Rob Blake, the owner, is very professional. I called him because a hot water heater problem had revealed that the foam from a 2011 job had not filled the cavity in the wall as thought during the 2011 job.  I did not know if this only applied to the water heater closet or to the entire cabin.
Rob's response to my call was "That's why you have a lifetime warranty!"  Wow.  Not used to that.  Rob came out the next day and crawled around under the cabin and poked wires into outlet cavities and showed me that the foam was only thin in the water heater closet, and given the construction of the closet, that made sense.  Rob wanted to schedule a return within a few days to fix the problem before the weather got cold.  I asked him to bid the top floor of my house to do at the same time.
The fix was free and the top floor of my house was 3200.  So altogether, I have spent $7100 with retrofoam, to insulate three houses; one about 750 square feet; one about 450 square feet and one about 4,000 square feet.
As with the first job, the workers were polite, professional, hardworking and very thorough. They were very nice about things like taking down a bird feeder for me - not part of their job at all, and they were happy to help me with it.  They do have to come inside to listen for something when certain walls are being injected; they were always very polite, wiped their feet and so on.  They worked from 8 to 5 every day, and they did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves.  The job was planned for two days but took three.  They were very inobtrusive with my renter whose water heater closet they redid.  In fact, they removed some fiberglass insulation near the water heater placed during the water heater repairs not only because it was ineffective but because the type that was there was a potential fire hazard (the paper side was near the water heater).  This is pretty typical of them; they have gone above and beyond on every job for me.  They really do work as if they were insulating their own homes.  Very nice.
The only almost-rough spot is that my cabin and my house had to be drilled right through the exterior siding, and after the holes were plugged, we needed to repaint the house.  The 750- square foot house needed to be painted anyway so I didn't mind, and I planned the big house job to coincide with a painting soon after because I remembered that from last time, and it also was due for a repainting.  Rob tells me that only five houses so far have had to be done this way; but I would ask him before the job if the house will need to be repainted as it would have been a pretty rude shock to not realize this ahead of time.  I understand that most jobs do not result in a repainting, this was about the type of siding we had on our houses.
In fact. Rob offered to supply the labor to restain the plugs to match the siding, but since we are repainting soon, we didn't see any need.
The insulation has been astonishingly effective.  Not only in retaining temperature, but also the houses are now so very quiet.  This has been an excellent investment in our house, and we are very happy with the outcome.  Also, this is a very professional, easy to deal with company.

"My granddaughter's dryer was not heating so we called an appliance repairman who said the problem was caused by a backup of lint in the dryer duct. As Coit had cleaned the ducts in November I was surprised to hear this as it had only been six months. When Coit was contacted about this concern, they could not have been more helpful and responsive.  They stated they stand behind their work and there would be no charge for a service call to correct the problem.  Within the hour, the foreman arrived.  He determined that the problem was NOT caused by a backup of lint in the dryer duct, but an improperly installed dryer vent on the outside wall.  (It had been installed backward!) He checked and rechecked everything, and ending up emptying a huge amount of water from the duct and removing the vent cover and putting it back correctly. He even used new nails when doing so.   He involved us every step of the way...again, extremely professional, personable and highly skilled.  He also recommended we replace the vent with a more up-to-date one.  I cannot thank Coit enough for their service.  They are wonderful to deal with and their work is outstanding. Other family members have used them in the past for duct cleaning, dryer duct and carpet cleaning.  If there were a higher grade than A+, I'd give it to them.  They certainly deserve this level of recognition.

"BB&R Insulation is a family owned and operated business. They quick to respond and provide a quote. The quote was reasonable. I hired them to install radiant barrier in my attic spaces and add insulation to bring it up to code. They were on-time and worked efficiently. They did excellent work, cleaned up the work areas and removed all trash with them. They were polite and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them highly."

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

With its breathability and flexibility, lime plaster is among the most durable of all plaster types. It's also fire-resistant and has a proven track record, as people have been using it for thousands of years.

However, all plaster types will last for many years with the right care and treatment. Proper preparation and installation will also help ensure your plaster walls look great for as long as possible.

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.

Yes, you can use drywall repair techniques for some types of plaster damage. Tiny holes and small cracks in plaster can be patched in similar ways to drywall. You apply the necessary compound to fill the hole, wait for it to dry, then sand it down. For larger damage, like water damage or mold, you need to use plaster-specific techniques and materials.

You can plaster over regular drywall, but it's essential to prepare the surface properly. Before plastering, the drywall should be clean, free of dust, and any loose or peeling paint should be removed. Applying a primer specifically designed for plastering can improve adhesion. Some professionals recommend applying a base coat of plaster or joint compound to create a better surface for the plaster to adhere to. Proper preparation ensures a smooth and durable plaster finish over regular drywall.

You can put drywall mud over paint to even out the surface or entirely resurface it. Sand the surface with 280-grit sandpaper, vacuum the debris and dust with a shop vac, and clean it with a slightly damp cloth. Allow the surface to dry. Apply drywall primer, especially if you’re skim-coating an entire wall. Apply the right type of drywall mud over the surface and smooth it with a trowel. Allow the layer to cure fully, then sand it before applying another layer or painting it.
