While we were at it, we decided to take out the old bathtub, re-tile that part of the bathroom floor and install a claw foot tub. We couldn't have found a better collaborator for this process than JV (David Javarey) of Castle Consultants. He understood the engineering necessary for the project, listened to our concerns, and responded with first-rate work. He re-plumbed the pipes to the shower and tub and hooked up the new cast iron tub (all 400+ pounds of it). And his care and artistry in laying the tile on the floor, wall and benches was just exemplary. One of the things we appreciated most about JV was his integrity and perfectionism. If something wasn't done to his high standards, he redid it. He was in constant communication with us about our preferences, explained his plans patiently, and responded to our suggestions with his characteristic, "No problem!" He was a joy to work with, and we will absolutely call on him again!"
