We offer the best quality workmanship in all phases of repairs, renovations and home improvements. We are hard working, honest, dependable and on time.We champion for the elderly and our friends with special needs. We tend to work mostly for homeowners rather than builders, as this cuts the homeowners cost on average by 15%. We also go the extra mile in quality control and stand behind our work. The other guys warranty usually lasts until your check clears. We offer free estimates and welcome our potential customers to obtain others for comparison but feel the customer also needs to consider the quality of work that will be done. Each job is different and are based on labor charges with material costs to be added. Materials are not marked up. The customer pays only for the materials that are used. Any unused materials are either left with the customer or returned to our vendor. If materials are returned to our vendor, the customer is given the credit for those returned items and are not charged for any of it. In most situations, we do not ask for any money up front. Consultations are with the homeowner before, during and after any job. We do not use subcontractors on any of our work. Depending on what the emergency is, we are available for our established customers.

Everything your hearth desires in fireplaces and fireplace accessories is available for you from Stoneman, Inc. You will find attractive fireplace products that blend beautifully with the decor of any home. See our website: www.stonemaninc.biz.

"I contracted with the Stoveman (“Stoneman”) to install a new fireplace insert. He installed it and I immediately saw my living room fill with smoke. He was going to charge me an additional $3000 to fix the numerous errors he made in installation. I took him to small claims court to try and recover some of the additional costs I had to pay another company in fixing his errors (unattached liner, no cleaning of creosote/soot, no use of building and fire permits, and a 4’ liner that should’ve been 20’ according to code). I won a judgement against him. He texted me over this last weekend stating that he’s not going to pay the court-ordered restitution awarded to me by the judge, “that stupid woman” as he called her. In my world you do the job for the agreed upon price until the job is done, properly. We trust these vendors to do good work, to do the job to industry standards and building codes, especially in areas we are not familiar with. He did neither. The Stoveman will no doubt rebut this 1-star review, but I have the receipts. I would not ever hire this vendor ever again"

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

One upside of tile roofs is that clay, concrete, and slate tiles require fewer repairs and less care than most other roofing options and are considered low-maintenance materials. Aside from as-needed repairs, annual inspections, and routine gutter cleaning, your tile roof won’t demand any maintenance and can provide 50 to 100 years or more of worry-free protection for your home.

Roof cleaning isn’t a necessity, but it can drastically improve your home’s curb appeal and even prolong the life of your roof, so it’s often a great investment. It’s especially a good idea if shaded parts of your roof experience algae or moss growth, which can damage the shingles and hold water against them, increasing the risk of a roof leak.

Roof cleaning can damage shingles if it’s done incorrectly—like with a high-power power washer—but it likely won’t damage your roof if you pay to have an expert do the work. A professional roof cleaner will use a gentle cleaning solution and a cleaning method that matches your roof material to ensure the process doesn’t damage the roof. Some homeowners worry that roof cleaning will shorten the life of their roof by removing shingle particles or protective coatings, but it often extends roof life by removing plants that cause damage and improves your home’s curb appeal simultaneously.

You can use a pressure washer to clean a whole host of surfaces. The exterior siding of your house is one of the most popular spots, as well as your driveway, garage floor, patio or deck, and even your outdoor furniture. Just be mindful about the amount of pressure you apply to different materials—concrete can handle a lot more than wood, for example.

There are several ways to remove snow from your roof: using a snow rake, salting the roof with calcium chloride, using a rope (cautiously), and using heating cables. It’s important to mention that pretty, fluffy, sparkling snow weighs a great deal, and when physically removing snow from a roof, you should be aware of large snow slabs breaking off. These can weigh hundreds of pounds and are a real danger, so be extremely careful anytime you’re doing this type of work.
