I chose to work in this industry because I was always interested in electrical, and was offered to enroll in an apprenticeship program with my first electric company in Nashville, TN. It was mostly a commercial company. There I gained lots of valuable knowledge. After graduating from the 4 year trade school I became a foreman. Then moved back to Dallas TX to work for a residential service company. I also enjoyed this aspect of electrical. There is more troubleshooting involved. The owner of this company taught me a lot and we still keep in touch. Then I moved to North Carolina to pursue my own business. I can do most commercial and residential projects. I look forward to hearing from you.

"This was the best electrical service company we could have chosen. They were professional, they were friendly. They gave us the details and facts and did not try to sell us anything we did not need, but instead gave us options and explained things very clearly. ALB scheduled us immediately, they arrived the next morning with plenty of crew and had the issue fixed within 2hours. I have never been more impressed with how professional and punctual they were. When the job was done they made sure to come back out wait for the inspector. They helped us get in touch with the power company and had our power back on the SAME day. I will suggest and recommend ALB for all our electrical work in our home. They were affordable and reasonable. Thank you ALB."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Homeowners in Denver should factor in the area’s high humidity, frequent thunderstorms, and the common use of crawl spaces when planning electrical projects. Local inspection schedules and neighborhood HOA restrictions may affect project timelines. The age and capacity of your home’s electrical system, as well as whether your wiring is overhead or underground, also play a role. Homes near Lake Norman require extra attention to moisture protection for outdoor wiring.

Helpful?

In Denver, start each spring by testing GFCI outlets and surge protectors, especially after winter storms. Inspect outdoor and crawl space wiring for signs of moisture or weather damage. During summer, check circuits for air conditioning and outdoor lighting. Fall is ideal for reviewing heating system connections, while winter calls for monitoring electrical usage and checking for ice damage on exterior equipment. Regular monthly checks help catch issues early.

Helpful?

Upgrading electrical systems in Denver enhances comfort by supporting efficient HVAC operation during humid summers and enabling safer outdoor living spaces. Installing GFCI outlets and surge protection improves electrical safety, while adding outlets and smart home features increases convenience. Modern, code-compliant electrical work also boosts property value and helps homes stand out in Denver’s growing housing market, especially as buyers seek updated, energy-efficient features.

Helpful?

For electrical maintenance in Denver, keep a non-contact voltage tester, multimeter, wire strippers, and insulated screwdrivers for safe troubleshooting. Stock up on wire nuts, electrical tape rated for humid conditions, and both 14 and 12 AWG Romex for common repairs. Weatherproof covers, surge protectors, and moisture-resistant electrical boxes are also essential for outdoor wiring and crawl space projects, especially given Denver’s frequent storms.

Helpful?

In Denver, common mistakes include failing to shut off power at the breaker before starting work, choosing improper wire gauges that don’t match circuit requirements, and overloading outdated electrical panels. Homeowners sometimes neglect required permits or overlook local electrical safety codes. Improper GFCI outlet installation and skipping weatherproofing for outdoor wiring, especially with Denver’s humidity, can create serious safety risks and future repair needs.
