I called and explained that liquid was seeping out of the top of the septic tank, but the warning light had not come on. John spent 10 minutes on the phone with me asking questions and then explaining where I need to look for tripped breakers or blown fuses. I followed his instructions and was able to find a tripped breaker at the unit (severe lightning storms a few days previous) and got the unit up and running. No service call, and no charge. I highly recommend Sewer & Drain Medic.

As a Realtor and home inspector I have recommended this company for almost a decade, service is unrushed and top notch every time. I recently used them to service my own septic system, great service once again. I make the same mistakes most homeowners do in the treatment of a septic system and after only 5 years my system was on the brink of failure, these guys cleared my mistakes and saved me thousands. Lesson #1, don't wait 5 years to service your septic system!

Vendor arrived before agreed time, and had no appointment with me personally. I was not even planning on being there, but instead was going to be billed. I decided to go check it out, and found a young man with kitchen gloves elbow deep in sewer water trying to stick a jet pipe into the distribution box. I watched them for 15 minutes while the owner John kept cursing and shaking his head saying it wasnt working and they were going to have to start digging. He made a display of negative remarks and basically said unless they dug it up there was no hope. 15 minutes. That was the full extent of their efforts. I told them not to do anymore work because I had already decided no matter what, I did not want him on my property doing anything at all and would find another vendor. I walked back to my vehicle and he shouted at me who to make the bill to. Since I had already spoken to another person with the company about this, and I was supposed to be getting billed, this surprised me. But I gave him the name of the LLC and took the bill from him. He said he "was not leaving without a check" and the bill was for $150 more than we had agreed upon. I told him this and he flippantly called the other person, saying to him on the phone that it was supposed to be the price he quoted me, basically bullying him into agreeing. I disagreed politely, and he then told me to move my (expletive) vehicle and  he didn't want my (expletive) money and he would call the county health department and let them know my system was failing. After he left his partner called me and apologized for his behaviour, and agreed on the phone that this was commonplace, and that it was not the first time it had happened. He offered to come back to another property for free to make up for it the next day. He did not show up, and when I called him, he told me he forgot.
Needless to say I just received the complaint letter from the county health department based on the call that this angry individual placed. I will deal with that with another professional firm and have it professionally repaired, but it will cost me far more because of the actions of this man. The other property was treated and repaired by a different firm, for the agreed upon price, which was $150 less than the inflated hustled price of Sewer Medic. I will point out that I have been builder/developer/Realtor for 25 years, and am not a novice with this, and will be sure to use every opportunity possible to warn others of this rude man and very unprofessional firm. My friend who is also a home inspector who had said what a great deal he got is now aware of how this company could tarnish his reputation. They gave him a low price expecting him to refer him to unsuspecting and ignorant consumers, but if he had taken the time to find out a little about me, he would have realized that I am not one of those. Pity the people who have to deal with this company.

Could not be more pleased. We didn't have to wait weeks to be scheduled. They were friendly, professional and made sure everything was flushing fine before leaving.  We have a 3 year warranty. I would recommend this company to my friends.

After I called as stated above Anthony and Phil showed up ready to work. These guys are on top of their game and were courteous professional and extremely knowledgable. Our request for a septic inspection turned into quite a job for them after they discovered our septic system was under our deck. We had to move several boards in order for them to access it to inspect. A job that should have taken an hour for them turned into 2. These guys were up to the task under challenging circumstances. I was incredibly impressed by them and they are an asset to their company. I will definitely call on them again for the work the do. It was $250 for the inspection and stress test and would have been an additional $250 to have it pumped out which fortunately they informed us it was recently pumped out and should not need service in another 3 to 5 years.

During the ice storm, I learned we had a ruptured sewer line in the crawl space under our house.  Drain and Sewer Medic was recommended by a friend of mine.  When I called the owner, John, was very nice and told me, "It is not the end of the world. We will take care of you. Please don't worry." At 8:00am the next morning, John called me to let me know he was at our house. He had driven there in the ice and freezing rain. When I asked if he was really there (we had to evacuate our home), he said, "I told you, if I could make it, I would get here." John and his co-worker dug down 2 feet to reach the pipe and replaced 21 feet of the sewer line. They also cleaned the mess for me. John waited a few days to make sure I was happy and everything was in great working order, before handing me the bill. I was amazed at the price and almost kissed him! You would need to pay me a BUNCH more to do that work! I will call upon Drain and Sewer Medic for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

I have used this service two times. Once when I first moved into my home because the septic field was clogged and secondly to replace the pump and floats. That cost me over $800. On both occasions, they arrived on time and did a good job on the repairs. On the second call for the burned out pump, I think it may have been caused by debris that fell into the tank on the first repair. The debris had again clogged the field because I saw the debris shoot out of the pipes that feed the field. They cleaned up and leveled the yard both times where they had to dig in the yard.

Seems like it's a bit of a home buyer rip off that they come to inspect the septic and that they can't empty the septic, if necessary, at the same time.  The fact that they have to come back makes it a double charge.

I will say that all the work was done as he said it would be done and they were on time and maybe even a bit early. However, upon leaving the house this man or one of his crew backed their trailer into a brick culvert at the end of the driveway and cracked it in half. We immediately sent him pictures and spoke to him on the phone within about 30 minutes of him leaving. He said he would come back and take a look at it and take care of the problem. After about 3 weeks of numerous phone calls and empty promises that he would come by to fix the bricks we finally had to contact his insurance company directly to get the matter resolved. This could have been dealt with quickly if he would have paid the few hundred dollars to fix it rather than pretending he was going to resolve the matter on his own but never took the time to deal with us honestly.

We had water flooding the garage from the sink there backing up when
the washing machine was emptying.  Zak Killmon came right away
even though it was a  Saturday and he stayed until the problem was
resolved. He was courteous and professional at all times.  The fee
was very reasonble considering the time and effort it took to resolve
the problem.

We were told by others that the entire yard would need dug up and the tank replaced. Only the tank area of the yard had to be opened up to clear out the roots, the rest of the yard was left alone except for some small areas where they inserted the machine to clear the distribution lines.  It was an amazing process - it took from 8am until about 2 pm and it saved us nearly $4000!! Definitely call John before you let anyone else tell you the entire system needs replaced. He knows what he's talking about - he used to build and maintain entire municipal waste water systems. He and his guys are friendly, thorough and really proud of the good work they do. I will recommend them to my fellow landlords and real estate investors. We take our referrals very seriously and I will have no hesitation to recommend these guys to my colleagues.
