Fixmycrawlspace.com is a family oriented company dedicated to serving The Carolina's. We stand behind our work 100 percent and look forward serving any new and returning customers.

"thanks to this site, I called Greater Wilm. Structure about a brick house I was buying that had cracked brick and unlevel floors. I assumed I would only (!) need to have that section of the home jacked up and the foundation repaired. Brian returned my call quickly, and met me and my realtor at the house (was a 45 min. drive for him) to give me his opinion and verbal price quote. Many contractors/carpenters would have just focused on the project and the money involved, but Brian wanted to see WHY the house had sunk. He pointed out the major structure issues with the tresses in the attic, joists, as well as other red flags, that would cause problems later. He's a master carpenter and his knowledge, experience (and sense of humor!) was refreshing and valuable. After meeting with him I decided to pull my accepted offer on the home and feel I have saved myself untold amounts of money, stress and frustration. I will definately be hiring this company in the future."

I was especially happy that an engineering firm prepared final inspection and drawings for the county permit process. John, Austin, Taylor, and Chris worked very hard for three days, even in the rain and cold. Great company and people."

Family-Owned and Operated Roofing Company with 25+ Years of Experience. A trusted team that has been building the Grand Strand since 2000.

"Citadel roofing hired myself, as a retail sales representative with leads provided by the company. Mind you, I was currently living in Pensacola Florida, when I was offered the position with Citadel roofing out of Myrtle Beach,Sc. I relocated to the Myrtle Beach area out of my pocket, to be in proximity of the market region to promote Citadel roofing. Once I arrived to South Carolina, the owner of Citadel (Nick) and myself, set up an initial sales meeting to go over the logistics of my position in more detail. Where he offered myself some options as far as compensation and my involvement with the company. Nick offered a salary plus small commission pay schedule, or a commission only, and finally the different commission structures depending on whether the initial lead was generated from the company or from myself. He explained how Citadel roofing has been a strictly retail sales company, and mentioned that Citadel deserves a piece of the pie in the insurance claims world. He asked what knowledge I have with filing claims and the onboarding process. Which I more than confidently explained the claims process in detail, so he can get a feel for the knowledge that I was sharing with Nick. I agreed to help promote the insurance sales side of Citadel roofing, but I never agreed to strictly perform insurance claim projects specifically. I relocated to Myrtle Beach to pursue a career with Citadel roofing five weeks ago. Nick has not sent me on one retail lead as of yet, nor has Nick offered to compensate me for my time reaching out to third party public adjusters, on behalf of Citadel roofing's legal representation. The time I have spent with the owner of Citadel roofing (Nick Sr.) implementing and strategically setting in place the legalities and documentations to successfully adhere to the insurance claim process. Neither was I reimbursed for my travel expenses, and relocation costs associated with accepting this position, due to Citadel roofing's need to aquire more salesman to handle the incoming abundance of leads, as I was informed. Now, after five weeks of no income, and out of pocket expenses due to travel and relocation costs, the owner of Citadel roofing (Nick Sr) informs myself that my services are no longer needed here at Citadel! Okay, fair enough in a manipulative world... But how about compensating myself for the 5 weeks of services that your company, Citadel roofing, has already received? I've worked for contractors from Vermont to Texas, and I can say there is a lot of shady businessmen out there. But to manipulate and deceive someone into relocating and driving over 600 miles, to personally deliver insurance claim knowledge for a company (Citadel roofing) who has never successfully submitted a damage report, let alone the skills and know how to identifying proper storm damage that's claim worthy. I've spent my own time and money to come here and train the owners of a roofing company(Citadel roofing) for 5 weeks, on the claims process. While strategically setting in place the foundation to a successful claims practice."

House leveling services FAQs

Typically, it’s more affordable to buy an existing home than it is to build a new one. New construction loan interest rates tend to be higher than interest rates for traditional mortgages. Additionally, the cost of materials is likely higher when building a new home than it was when an existing home was built (unless it’s a very new one). You’re also paying for all new appliances, finishes, permits, inspections, and connections for water, gas, and electricity.

One starting point to find a local home builder is to collect suggestions from friends and neighbors. However, it’s still wise to do some more research before you hire a builder. Read reviews to supplement any word-of-mouth recommendations. Check sources like Angi that have standards and criteria in place to screen the pros it lists can also help you find more reputable local home builders.

The most common first signs of foundation issues include:

  • Cracks in the foundation walls that grow

  • Signs of moisture or water leaking through cracks in the foundation

  • Standing water in the basement

  • Sagging floors or walls

  • Cracked walls in upper floors

  • Doors and windows that don’t close properly anymore

Foundation repairs cost about $5,000, on average. Typically, prices range from $2,200 to $7,800, depending on the type and extent of repairs needed. Cost factors include foundation type, home size, soil stability, accessibility, and the ultimate cause of the problem and what methods and materials are required to fix it.

If you’re noticing signs of foundation issues, the first step to fixing a foundation problem is to hire a foundation repair inspector. They will determine the problem, the cause, and the severity before recommending a course of action to repair the foundation. The method for fixing foundation problems depends on the problem and what options are available. A few possible solutions include:

  • Epoxy injections

  • Mudjacking

  • Piers made of steel or concrete

  • Jacks

  • Hydraulic piers

  • Carbon or steel reinforcement strips

  • Waterproofing materials
