"Mr. Cruz and his workers did a wonderful job. They painted my three-bedroom home after repairing uneven walls. They did beautiful and clean work. The following year they painted my two-car garage. Again, a thorough and tidy job. Mr. Cruz was always available for questions and made sure the total work was understood by his crew. I’d heartedly recommend Mr. Cruz."

"People, don't waste your time getting a ton of estimates! AJ's Quality Painting did a fantastic job on my ceilings for popcorn removal. Not only was the quote reasonable, they scheduled quickly for my time restriction, and the workers were very courteous and polite. Extremely hard workers, Francisco and Santos. This was not an easy task, and they did a fantastic job! I highly recommend this company for your needs."

"Great service. We needed to have our house and barn stained (cedar siding) and painted (trim). We also needed some carpentry repair. Kelvin walked all over our roof to make sure he identified all of the trim repair needed and gave us a detailed list. He also made certain that the stain he used matched what was put on last time. The end result was excellent. The house looks great and the price was quite reasonable. I highly recommend them."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

If you have a smooth, already bonded concrete surface, painting a concrete pool deck can be a great way to brighten up the area and add longevity. If the surface has another covering or a different type of paint has been used previously, you won’t be able to paint it without removing the existing coating. Wooden decks benefit from painting as it helps to keep them watertight. Quality pool deck paints also help make the surface less slippery and less likely to gather mold and mildew or prematurely crack.

Staining a deck with a rag is typically a better option than using a brush, as it helps the stain penetrate deeper into the wood. However, both brushes and rags are best reserved for detailed work because using these tools on an entire deck can require tediously crawling around on your hands and knees. A pad applicator, sprayer, or roller are preferred alternatives to applying stain over the majority of a deck. Use a rag for railings and other detailed work, and let the wood soak up as much of the stain as possible before wiping away drips or pools.

Staining pressure-treated wood is a recommended practice. While inherently resilient, it's not impervious to moisture and UV exposure. Staining treated wood is feasible and recommended for enhanced protection and longevity. Applying stain and sealant safeguards against degradation, prolonging its life span. These measures shield the wood from environmental threats while augmenting its aesthetic appeal, ensuring your investment endures the test of time.

Deck staining or painting safeguards wood against the elements through its protective layer, enhancing decay resistance, prolonging structural integrity, and improving visual appeal.

You may be wondering: can you paint cement? Fortunately, the answer is yes.

To change the color of your cinder blocks, you have two options. You can either paint them or stain them. Either way, you'll be able to choose from a wide range of color options. Some popular colors for cinder block painting include off-white shades and gray tones, which add a modern spin to the traditional gray blocks.
