"It went beautifully!! Very professional. Answered all my questions, promptly. Josephine has a great eye for color, and design. AJ is a master with paint, and the wall repairs. My 1936 bungalow looks beautiful. I would hire them again, in a split second."

"Excellent! Very professional, hand painted everything in heavy coat of top quality paint. price quote included paint and they brought color charts to me to help choose and gave me counsel on what types of paints would be best for our particular needs. They had the challenge of painting, wood, fiberglass columns, composite decking and a spiral metal staircase. They prepped quickly and effectively and painted everything expertly by hand. Even painting the underside of the metal stairs when I did not even ask for that. Carlos also scrambled atop the house and painted our large, metal chimney stack which had worn back down to exposed metal. These men worked very hard for us."

"We Out Here did an excellent job of cleaning up wood and underbrush left where numerous trees had been removed in a heavily wooded area on our property...a big job! Mr. Walker and his wife Michelle are hard workers, and we are well pleased with the work they did for us. They are pleasant and positive folks. The price for their hard work was very reasonable. We will hire them again. Frank and Carolyn J"

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on coating type, labor, site preparation, and required finishes.

Applying a sealer or topcoat after staining wood is highly recommended, though not always strictly required. A sealer protects the wood from moisture, UV rays, and weather-related issues, which is especially important for outdoor surfaces like decks and fences. It also enhances the stain's durability, prevents fading over time, and gives the wood a cleaner, more professional-looking finish. For some indoor applications, a sealer may not be necessary, depending on the type of stain used and the level of protection needed. It's always best to check the stain manufacturer's recommendations and consider the wood's intended use and exposure when deciding whether to apply a sealer.

A five-gallon bucket of deck stain will cover roughly 875 square feet in a single coat. Actual coverage will vary based on the type of wood you’re staining and the number of coats. If you plan on doing multiple coats, multiply the square footage by the number of coats to calculate how many buckets of stain you’ll need.

If you have a smooth, already bonded concrete surface, painting a concrete pool deck can be a great way to brighten up the area and add longevity. If the surface has another covering or a different type of paint has been used previously, you won’t be able to paint it without removing the existing coating. Wooden decks benefit from painting as it helps to keep them watertight. Quality pool deck paints also help make the surface less slippery and less likely to gather mold and mildew or prematurely crack.

Yes, professionals offer slip-resistant options for added workplace safety.
