"I put in a quote request on Home Advisor and I was contacted by Apollo immediately. My experience with Lemus Landscaping was very positive! They installed sod on my front yard, pruned trees and shrubs. Everything was done in a professional way. My yard looks amazing now! I’m already thinking about my next landscaping project and it’s a no-brainer, I’m gonna go with Lemus Landscaping."

"In 2013, Nicolas and his amazing team created the most beautiful paver patio (with gas and wood fire pits) for us, along with building a retaining wall and grading/landscaping our property. He returned this Spring to help re-sod our back yard (we wanted to change from fescue to Bermuda grass) and he sealed the patio. I cannot praise Nicholas enough - he is a grading master and a patio artist! Our patio is 8 years old and looks brand new. His team was so professional and Nicolas was involved with the project every step of the way. I give Nicolas’ Hardscapes and Drainage my highest recommendation!"

"It went great! Mr Moreau came out and did an awesome job! I originally planned for 1 day but it turned into a 2 day task as he had to move A LOT of dirt for us. We have gone from having a large unusable space in our back yard to doubling, if not tripling, the amount of usable level ground. This is much needed and reclaimed space. He even managed to smooth out a spot for a great big shed as well. Will highly recommend him and plan on hiring him again in the future for another project. Can't say enough great things about him."

Customers say: Quality work

"They went the extra mile to customize the landscape (Graded) the yard and it insured the Fence was straight and much better looking than what other fence builders would have done, at no extra cost. The Fence-landspace came out excellent! Lester and his son were excellent to work with and courteous and punctual, Really Professional!. They also ensured to fix anything that worped down the road. Im glad I found them and will always recommend."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

If you live in an area with heavy rain or you like the idea of an extra layer of cushion under your feet, you may want to consider adding additional layers under your grass. There are pads that are purely for comfort and ones that can help accelerate drainage for those heavy rains.

Many people have used old tires in gardens as raised beds, planters, tree rings, and DIY decor. However, these uses are not recommended due to the toxicity of many of the chemicals used to manufacture tires. These chemicals can leach into the soil and water as the tire breaks down, creating environmental pollution and health hazards for gardeners and their families.

Multiple rules of thumb exist when discussing tree planting. When planting a tree, the best rule of thumb is to provide it with everything it needs to survive and thrive in its new environment. That may mean learning about the type of tree you're planting and studying the best methods of taking care of it before purchasing and planting.

In most cases, buying plants from a local greenhouse or nursery is well worth the investment, even though they tend to be a bit more expensive than those at a home improvement store. Employees at nurseries are usually well-versed in gardening and understand how the climate in your area affects different plants. They can help you make selections based on your skill level and time commitment to your landscaping, and they can provide detailed care instructions and advice to help keep your plants alive and diagnose and treat issues like pest infestation and illness.

The best time to plant is between spring and autumn. Springtime weather is typically mild and is when nurseries start to bloom. When the summer weather arrives and it’s hot out, it’s best to avoid planting bare-root plants, but you can still plant many in-container varieties. The first sign of fall is another great opportunity to plant biennials if you live in southern states, or a lovely vegetable garden up north.
