After receiving the car back ran exceptionally well however, within a few hours it started making noises so I brought it back to Willy's shop that evening and parked it. Willy's came in on a weekend day they were closed and repaired the problem completely with no additional charge along with a SINCERE apology for the trouble. As we all know to err is human however to completely back up his work, no additional charges and above all come in on a day off to expedite the repair is very uncommon!!! I would highly recommend to everyone. When University Motors told me that the problem was a leaking head gasket after all, they said they would credit me the $325 for the unnecessary fan and thermostat, and that they would "only" charge $1370 to repair the leaking head gasket. I said "no". I was told that the manager would call me the next day. I thought that meant he would make things right for me. I decided to take a vacation day and make another trip to Missoula so I could speak to him in person. He would not budge on the $1370 I was quoted the day before to fix the head gasket, so I still said, "no". Later that day I checked at the private Honda place. They said they could fix the leaking head gasket for $770. So, University Motors wasn't trying to compensate me at all. They could have offered to do it for $770 and still made a profit. Their goal was really to squeeze more money out of me. The manager said he could give me a good trade in value on my daughter's car to compensate me. The salesman said, "We're going to do right by you". Yesterday I saw one of the cars in their ad on Craigslist. The best price we were quoted for it with trade-in of my daughter's car was no different than price listed without trade in. They weren't compensating me, they were trying to sell their car, no different than if I hadn't gone through their fiasco. My complaints: --University Motors badly misdiagnosed something I came to them for a second opinion about, yet a tire place got it right. Was it an honest mistake (incompetent mechanic) or an attempt to get me to have more repairs done there? --They emphatically stated that the Honda my daughter brought to them "has a great engine", and that I should get a list of things done on the car, and it would be in great shape. They tried to get me to commit to have it done there while the car was in their shop. --I trusted their assessment, but had the list of things done elsewhere. It cost me $1500 including the $325 University Motors charged for the thermostat/fan repair. --University Motors claimed to be compensating me by offering to fix the head gasket for $1370 including a $325 discount which was the cost of the fan and thermostat work. In fact, a local private Honda place could fix the head gasket for $770. University Motors was clearly trying to make more money from the situation. --I made three totally unnecessary round trips from Whitehall to Missoula because of this, and my daughter and I were both very stressed by it. --We thought we had a "great little car" after all the repairs. Instead we completely wasted $1500, and lots of time because of University Motors. We had a temporary car that we don't have anymore because we were led to believe that the car was in great shape after the recommended repairs. I sold the other car right before my daughter's started overheating again. --University Motors made no attempt to make this right. Instead they tried to make more money off of the situation. --I can't help but wonder if my daughter and I appeared to be naive women they could take advantage of.

I was very satisfied with the work. He was on time and very courteous. We had him look at an area above the roof on the lower level of the house that seemed to be getting some water damage. He opened it up and looked at it and although he was unable to repair it, he gave us some good...

Groundworks knows how to solve basement, and crawl space problems, the first time. Proudly serving Montana and Wyoming.
"My certified inspector MatthewCote out of the Belgrade, MT office found i have a natural spring comming up in my crawlspace. I knew I had water streaming all over crawlspace and my husband believed it was due to watering lawn of the hill our house sits on.
Matt was great to work with, he was totally professional. He explained my situation and showed me in photos and map of my basement what this ssprincause, how it had eroded and damage caused. It has been going on for quite a few years, of which I noticed escalation of water even though I decreased watering on above lawn.
I wish I had researched this sooner. But MATT assured me it's not too late. He was clear and concise as to what I needed done to resolve and eliminate further damage by installing 2 sump pumps, installing trenches & piping to drain all areas of water, draining ouside of house past septic and leach field, add a humidifier and encapsulation of crawlspace. I highly recommend Groundworks and Matt to anyone."

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Whitehall, MT
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
