Timesavers Home Improvement is a family owned business that has passed down through not only family but across the country. Handyman Unlimited is my father and I couldn’t be more proud to have learned from the best. Richard Byers taught me that customers come first ,and that you give it your all as if it was yours. Our customers always come first and always will . We are very detail oriented and decision sensitive. What you want we make happen ,in a professional, caring, resource full , and respectful manner . We are and will always be your “Hunny do-list specialist”.

"Good work. Showed up on time and did a great job. Would definitely hire again."

"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can paint a flagstone patio, but ensure you choose a durable latex paint specifically designed for outdoor use and heavy foot traffic. An elastomeric latex paint will fill in all the gaps and create a waterproof seal over the stone. Even the best products made for foot traffic can last for one to two years, on average, so be prepared to reapply paint regularly.

A 7 to 12-inch wide microfiber or synthetic paint roller with a nap of 3/8 to 1/2 an inch will give you smooth, even paint coverage on interior walls. Before getting started, wrap painter’s tape around the roller cover to remove any lint or fibers that may end up embedded in the paint, ruining your even finish.

Technically, mineral spirits are a type of paint thinner, so they can be used for the same purposes. In most cases, pure mineral spirits are preferable to other paint thinners. Still, if necessary, you can successfully use paint thinners for most of the same applications, such as thinning or cleaning oil paints.

Most high-gloss paint will stick to plastic. However, it’s important to prepare your plastic surface to have the best success with painting it. Even the most plastic-adhering paint can struggle to fully adhere to a surface that no one has properly prepared. Ensure that the surface is clean and free of grease or dirt. If your plastic is very slick, you may also want to lightly sand it to increase the chances of complete adhesion.

In most cases, paint primer is necessary before painting over wood paneling. A hardy primer formula covers up stains and leaves a grippy surface for the new paint to hold onto. If you don’t use a primer first, you risk poor adhesion, visible blemishes, and a paint top coat that could flake away later.

There are two primer choices: oil-based or latex-based. Choose an oil-based primer for durability and adhesion, but prepare for extra dry time and more VOC (volatile organic compounds) fumes. Or, pick a stain-blocking latex primer. They’re easy to apply, clean up, and affordable.
