Both Armando and Damien were professional, courteous and highly skilled. We reviewed the estimate while walking around the house. I noted a potential issue with the location of one of the downspouts and they agreed that splitting that particular run and installing an additional downspout made sense. As they needed an additional length of downspout to accomplish this modification to the plan, Armando immediately contacted his office and a driver brought it to the sight right away (about a 25 mile trip one-way). Armando and Damien installed 132' of seamless 5" lo-gloss white gutter and 40' of 2" x 3" downspout in four locations. They included a 3' section of roof diverter and the fourth downspout at no additional cost over the original $639 estimate. Clean-up was accomplished completely and they even left me sufficient material to hook one downspout into an underground drain line that I intend to install in the near future. Payment could be made by cash or check to the installers or by credit card over the phone to the office (which is what we did). Both the installers and the office rep made sure to inform us that if there were ever any leaks to just call them and they would send someone out to repair them. Bottom line: This was an outstanding experience in every respect, from estimate to execution to cost, and I most strongly recommend Seamless Rain Gutters Inc. There was moisture leeching through the concrete blocks and we wanted to stop the problem before it became a major issue. The inspection seemed to go fairly well. We received an estimate for a new French drain system and pump. The price was higher than we'd hoped, but didn't seem unreasonable for the work required. And, if it solved the issue, it would be worth it. Then, we received a phone call from the "head inspector" and had to go through another visit and another inspection. The result was that not quite as much work needed to be done, but the original estimate was MUCH lower than it should have been. The "head inspector" had no idea how the first person came up with the number they did, but they would honor the price given. The installation was done over two days, May 31st and June 1st. The two contractors had an incredibly daunting task of digging the new trench and hauling the buckets upstairs and outside. They had not been informed that they would need a large truck to dump the material so they did not arrive prepared for that. They also had to make several trips to Home Depot for supplies and equipment they did not bring with them. The workers did a good job of protecting our house, completed the work quickly, and cleaned up well. We had been promised that this installation would resolve our water issues but that is still not the case. There were several heavy rains during June and July and we started seeing more moisture seeping through the concrete blocks than we had seen before the installation. There were also some new cracks in some of the blocks. There was no sign that any water had passed through the new drainage system. I was finally able to get a follow-up appointment on July 27th. The appointment was scheduled for 2:00 PM but the service technician did not arrive until after 4:00 PM. He arrived with no equipment and was totally unprepared to work on our system - even if he had time after arriving two hours late. One of his excuses was that he was told it was an inspection appointment and not a service call. His other excuse was was that the weather had been so bad they were extremely busy with other service calls. He proceeded to look at the system, briefly, bad-mouth the installers, tell me all the things that were not done the way he would have done them, and promise to come back to make the system work properly. I was finally able to schedule the service appointment, again, for August 28th. I adjusted my work schedule to ensure I was home all day to give the service technician access to the basement. A few hours after I arrived home on August 27th, I happened to find a notice tucked under the edge of the door knob on our front door. The notice stated that the service person had arrived a day early, on August 27th. He apparently did some work outside, although I was unable to read excactly what was done, but he was unable to get inside so the system still is not functioning - three months after it was installed. Despite the fact that I had spoken with the service technician one month earlier and told him I would be home for the next appointment, he never bothered to call me to find out if someone would be home soon to let him inside. I called that evening and left a message for a return phone call, as soon as possible. I did not receive a call but phoned the company back at 9:00 AM August 28th. I had to leave another message but, this time, I did receive a call back very quickly. I am still waiting to reschedule an appointment to get our system completed and working. I have, again, been assured that we will be happy with the system after they are through. We just don't know how long it will take before they are through. Right now, we have new cracks in the concrete they put in to cover the new trench, there are new cracks in the wall blocks where they installed a drain, and there is still moisture on the wall. The one thing that does work is the warning system when there is a power outage. Twice, since installation, the power has been interrupted at home and we received the promised phone notification . We have been more than understanding in working with these people. I'm afraid I would never recommend them to anyone. Dennis kept in contact with me to let me know when the project would start, called during the work to keep me posted on how it was going, and let me know when it was done so I could inspect the work. I was only able to stop by the home a couple of times during the installation but when I did, Dennis did a walk around with me so he could show me everything and get my input. At the time I met with Dennis in the spring, I talked to him about this house having a full basement and that I wanted to have clear plastic window well covers over the basement window wells. These covers wear out and need to be changed from time to time and I expressed concern to Dennis that I did not want to have to drill holes in the steel siding to attach these. He came up with a plan for attaching the window wells that circumvented this problem. At time of installation, he put his plan for the window well covers in place and it looks like it will work well. I am incredibly pleased with the job Dennis and his Dand N Siding did on this house. It looks beautiful and numerous people have stopped by when I'm there to tell me how nice it is. It's a very pricy investment to make but needed to be done and I feel confident that having Dand N put on steel siding was the way to go. I would highly recommend Dand N to anyone needing siding on a home or business. Groundworks knows how to solve basement, and crawl space problems, the first time. Proudly serving Montana and Wyoming.
"My certified inspector MatthewCote out of the Belgrade, MT office found i have a natural spring comming up in my crawlspace. I knew I had water streaming all over crawlspace and my husband believed it was due to watering lawn of the hill our house sits on.
Matt was great to work with, he was totally professional. He explained my situation and showed me in photos and map of my basement what this ssprincause, how it had eroded and damage caused. It has been going on for quite a few years, of which I noticed escalation of water even though I decreased watering on above lawn.
I wish I had researched this sooner. But MATT assured me it's not too late. He was clear and concise as to what I needed done to resolve and eliminate further damage by installing 2 sump pumps, installing trenches & piping to drain all areas of water, draining ouside of house past septic and leach field, add a humidifier and encapsulation of crawlspace. I highly recommend Groundworks and Matt to anyone."

FAQs for basement leak repair projects in Darby, MT
The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.
For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.
The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.
If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.
Damp proofing and waterproofing are both methods to help keep your basement dry. Damp proofing keeps soil moisture from entering your basement, which is helpful since your basement is underground. Waterproofing, however, keeps both soil moisture and liquid water out of the basement, which is essential, especially if you live in a wet environment. Because it’s more protective, waterproofing typically costs more than damp proofing.
Although homeowners often use the terms basement remodeling and basement finishing interchangeably, they are quite different terms.
Finishing a basement is the process of taking a basement space that is not habitable and adding elements to make it usable. This includes adding plumbing, flooring, and insulation.
Remodeling a basement means taking an already existing finished basement and changing it, often by adding or removing walls, adding plumbing, or changing the existing flooring.
The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.
If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
