"Dan & Tina performed an inspection on a 2004 house my wife and I were going to purchase in September 2020. Thank goodness they did. We received the 124 page inspection report and it was filled with so many major and minor issues it really saved our butts! We were more than pleased with the inspection but the seller was not. Because this is a sellers market like we haven’t seen in a while, the seller would not do the repairs nor discount the house more than what was agreed on before the inspection; telling us that his house was worth it and he would get his asking price. Maybe so, as I see his house is pending now. Nonetheless, Dan and Tina were professional, very detailed and caught things that were hidden from plain sight. The most shocking thing they found, besides fiberglass particles in the HVAC ducting and rotten facia in one valley, they left a whirlpool tub filled and running for a couple hours while they were performing their inspection. After a couple hours I was leaving them to finish with my agent and Dan pulled me aside to show me that there was a leak behind the shower wall that was so bad it was leaking water outside from the brick weep hole, something I have never seen in my 53 years (I often wondered why those weep holes were there). My wife and I are disappointed that the sellers wouldn’t do any repairs, and that we just spent a bunch of money on an inspection on someone else’s house but they saved us potentially tens of thousands of dollars in repairs. Thanks! We will be using them again shortly!!!"

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"They did a very good job with the roof and the addition that came off the house and covered the deck. The only reason I gave them a B rating for quality instead of an A has to do with the finishing touches on the addition. All around the house the soffit fascia is covered in white sheet metal. When they finished the addition, which follows the roof line of the back of the house. They left it with bare, untreated wood. They don't use treated lumber because it reacts with the metal roofing and some corrosion may result. That's fine, but they should have at least covered it so that it tied in with the rest of the roof line. As we did our final inspection, I asked about the wood being treated and he explained why they don't use it. I said " so I guess I'll have to cover it?" He said that I would. I was leaving town on business in a couple days and had a lot going on, so I guess I just didn't think to put my foot down and insist they do it. Here in Mobile, Alabama we are the wettest city in the nation. We get more annual rainfall than Seattle, and it's humid. Wood rot happens.I went and bought some Thompson's Water Seal, and some sheet metal and took care of it myself. I have some pictures, but I don't see how to post them on this review page. The workers were very polite and cleaned up very well each day.

"Roger and his crew did excellent work. Each day started early and worked into the late afternoons (M-F). My project for new vinyl siding took about 12 working days to install that included the chimney exterior wooden structure being rebuilt due to some rot. They also installed two new cypress posts I provided and sealed to replace my older ones (2). Every evening his crew (Roger was on-site every day except for one) put up their equipment and did a clean sweep of the area. The craftsmanship was excellent and we are really enjoying our selection in siding. I would highly recommend using Roger for anyone considering putting siding. He also represents high quality vinyl windows at a very reasonable price, though I had them under contract with another company. Roger was easily accessible via phone and text. Need any additional feedback, please let me know."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Siding colors that go well with a green roof include off-red, beige, white, gray, brown, and even another green. Don’t be afraid to get creative with your green roof. This roof color has character, and playing with your color palette can really add to the natural charm of the house.

Vinyl, brick veneer, stucco, steel, stone veneer, and composite siding are popular alternatives to wood siding. Which siding material is best for your home boils down to your budget, aesthetics, lifestyle, and climate. For example, stone veneer offers a timeless charm and is low maintenance but may have too high of a price tag. Meanwhile, some homeowners love vinyl siding for its low cost, while others dislike it for its appearance and shorter life span.

Clapboard is considered to be eco-friendly, as it is mostly sourced from sustainable natural resources and it has insulating properties. Clapboard is more sustainable than vinyl siding materials, which are made of plastic. Clapboard made from fiber cement can also be considered environmentally friendly. This material mimics the look of wood without the impact of deforestation.

The telltale signs that your home is ready for repointing include visibly damaged bricks, crumbling bricks, flaking bricks, loose mortar, cracked mortar, gaps between brick and mortar, leaking inside your home, and visible water damage. Consider repointing when going over brick house pros and cons if you're buying a new home. Repointing is also a good idea if you plan to paint, acid wash, or stain your brick home, as it will give you a good base for coloration and prevent repairs after the work is done.

A brick exterior for your home has many advantages over other types of siding. While brick siding and veneer are more expensive, they’re also durable, long-lasting, and weather-resistant. Brick siding is aesthetically appealing, and can help to increase the value of your home. It’s also easy to maintain brick siding.
