"Were sincerely interested in doing my work! Showed up same day contacted Angi. After giving them clear direction on what I needed done, Mike was able to give me verbal quote we agreed on and a start date 4 business days later. Showed up on time, WITH ALL materials needed including extras and actually finished job in same day and earlier than expected. They were willing to look at and advice on possible job add-ons. They were professional, timely, qualified, efficient and after trying to get this project done by other local plumbers for over a year I couldn't be happier. I moved to a small town from a Huntsville, AL, a city filled with professional contractors all high quality, motivated and competitively priced contractors interested on working TODAY! Until I had the good fortune to be connected with Premier Property Soultions, I thought it borderline the impossible to find a plumber contractor who could "fit me in" while I paid them lots of money for taking pity on me and trying to maybe kinda someday fit me in. Thank God for finally blessing me with the opportunity to do business with TRUE professions!"

"Getting a walk in tub is expensive no matter who you use. My experience thus far is with installation only and I must say my install went great. It has been over a month and no issues with my tub so I cannot comment on repair process with American Standard."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired Built Better Construction (Grant) to patch a can light in our ceiling and fix a spot in our wall. Grant was very efficient and very professional. His work is always top notch, quick, and affordable. I’ve hired Grant on several different projects and will continue to use him."

Affordable Plumbers questions, answered by experts

There are three main types of shower valves: pressure-balancing, thermostatic, and diverter. Pressure-balancing and thermostatic valves are both considered mixing valves because they regulate water flow and temperature, but they do so in different ways. A pressure-balancing valve senses changes in water pressure, such as from a flushing toilet, and adjusts the incoming hot and cold water to maintain a consistent temperature; these typically use a single knob. A thermostatic valve uses a thermostat to precisely control the water temperature and requires a separate control to adjust the water volume. A diverter valve directs the flow of water from one fixture to another, such as switching from a tub faucet to a showerhead in a tub-shower combination.

There are a few reasons your diverter valve may not be fully diverting. Blockages from mineral buildup are common, but if your diverter is older, it may be suffering from normal wear and tear. Components can wear down or crack. In some cases, the cartridge may be defective, and you’ll need to replace it.

Professionals adjust or replace malfunctioning parts, ensuring water is distributed evenly for a healthy garden.

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.

Ejector pumps can only push sewage 750 feet or less. That’s because their purpose is to move waste from your home to your sewer line—which is a relatively short distance. Grinder pumps can transport sewage further, but they manage lower volumes of waste than ejector pumps (and they don’t work with septic systems).
