"Greg  came out and they would do during the installation such as puttint up dry wall so they have something to attach the door opener to.  They used the dry wall that I had which was the way I wanted it.
When Jim came out to install the garage door he called me when he was leaving Meridian and told me approximately when he would arrive.  He was very punctual as was Greg.  Jim installed the door just as was discussed.  It took him most of the day as this was an odd size door.  Jim was very plesant and knowledgable about the products and told me what he was doing and why he was doing things the way he was doing them.  I have a tendency to ask a lot of questions about what is going on and he answered every question I had.
When he was finished he explained the operation of the door and how to program the outside key lock as well,  He told me if I had a questions in the future do not hesitate to call.  Jim was very thorough about making sure he picked up any mess he has made.
I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.  In fact I am going to talk to them about the insullation in my home late on.

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Completing an insulation service project in Brookhaven delivers immediate comfort by stabilizing indoor temperatures and reducing drafts, which is especially valuable during humid summers. Over time, you’ll benefit from lower energy bills, less wear on your HVAC system, and improved moisture control that helps prevent mold. These upgrades also support a healthier indoor environment and contribute to energy efficiency, making your home more sustainable.

Helpful?

When planning insulation in Brookhaven, consider the region’s high humidity, frequent storms, and temperature swings. Using vapor barriers and ensuring proper ventilation are essential to prevent moisture buildup. Scheduling work in cooler months can make installation easier. Local building codes specify minimum R-values for insulation, and rural locations may impact contractor availability or delivery times, so advance planning is recommended.

Helpful?

Upgrading insulation in Brookhaven can make your home more attractive to buyers who value energy efficiency and comfort. Well-insulated homes often pass inspections more easily and may qualify for insurance incentives. As energy costs rise, homes with updated insulation stand out in the market, offering improved indoor air quality and lower utility bills—factors that can enhance your property’s resale appeal.

Helpful?

In Brookhaven, homeowners often encounter extra expenses for moisture remediation, air sealing, or attic ventilation improvements due to the area’s climate. Older homes may need electrical updates or safer attic access. Pest control and vapor barrier installation are sometimes necessary to address local wildlife and humidity. Planning for these potential needs helps ensure your insulation project is thorough and long-lasting.

Helpful?

For Brookhaven’s climate, blown-in cellulose or fiberglass batts with vapor barriers are ideal for attics, while closed-cell spray foam or mineral wool works well in walls and crawl spaces. Moisture-resistant and pest-resistant materials help prevent mold and deter insects. Rigid foam boards are effective for foundations. Always select insulation that meets MS’s recommended R-values and is designed to withstand local weather conditions.
