"Really happy with Eaves Enterprises! We had a consultation about removing two big pine trees, trimming overhanging branches for 3 additional pines as well as trimming an oak tree next to my driveway. They were able to do the work a couple of days later and it looks great! They had all the cool tools and equipment and cleaned up nicely. In all they removed 4 trees, trimmed 5 others and ground the stumps. Very impressed. I will use them again for additional removals next year."

"Mr. Davis was very knowledgeable and honest about our needs. We felt well taken care of and the repairs went great. Mr. Davis was prompt and respectful and cleaned up after himself. I will definitely use SDS again when needed."

"If I could give 10 stars, I would. Rod and his father have a combined 60 years of experience in this field. These guys answered my request for a quote within a few minutes, and they maintained excellent communication throughout the whole process. The price quoted was not only competitive, it was very aggressive. The work was absolutely outstanding. They replaced a retaining wall for me, and they rebuilt it better than the original. I had some other stuff that needed to be done on my new property, and they jumped on it without hesitation. After working with Rod and his team, not only would I hire these guys again, I am proud to call them friends. I’ll have B&B constructions back out later this spring for more projects. 10 out of 10. Business, quality, and character. Outstanding."

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

Yes, including patterns, finishes, and plant integration for aesthetic enhancement.

There are contractors specifically trained in the design and construction of retaining walls. Retaining wall contractors are skilled at dealing with the soil on your property and assessing what kind of drainage should be installed. They will recommend the best materials to use for the project and can handle the processing of permits by local authorities.

Depending on who you hire to build a retaining wall, the average cost, including demolition and reconstruction, for a 50-foot wall that's 4 feet in height is between $7,000 and $24,000.

Yes, to build a retaining wall, a permit is required. Similarly, any repairs or modifications to an existing retaining wall require permits. If the planned wall measures higher than 4 feet, most municipalities require designs and permits come through a licensed engineer. In some locations, if the wall is shorter than 4 feet, a permit may not be required. For the requirements in your area, contact your local government.

Failure to compact the soil during construction is the most common cause of leaning retaining walls. In addition, poor drainage can lead to excessive water pressure behind a retaining wall, pushing against it until it begins to move forward away from the soil it is holding back.
