"They took down two trees in our yard, one of which was in a right side yard with little space between the fence and the house. They then removed the stumps and all debris leaving a very clean area. Extra credit for sticking with the project during almost two weeks of steady rain. I recommend them and would use them again."

"After contact, the work was done very efficiently and neatly. Once the materials were removed the Proscape people blew the whole area off. You could never tell there was material there to be picked up. I would definitely use them again!"

"Sandhill services came out to my place and redid my entire driveway. 3/4 long of a gravel road. It beads water off like never before and has not gotten the first pothole since they came. They came out and got straight to work. Also very competitively priced. I would recommend them 100/10 percent to anyone needing some work done"

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

You will find a collection of licensed land surveyors in your area. Your real estate agent or construction manager may also be able to recommend a trusted professional. When speaking with prospective pros in your area, ask the land surveyor if they are licensed in the state, have liability insurance, and can quote you a fee before starting.

Prior to excavation, you should prepare the dig site and call 311 before you sign anything.

To get your site ready for excavation, you should move anything in the area that isn’t affixed to the land. You can save money on the excavation by removing hardscaping, including walkways, decks, concrete patios, and paver patios.

Before you carry out any digging, you should call 311 to confirm that there are no utility lines running through your excavation site. Skipping this step could lead to severe injury and property damage if your excavator hits a water, sewage, or gas line.

Professional well contractors may use electromagnetic mapping to look for places with a high likelihood of water. Water access can vary significantly, even on the same property, so it can be difficult to know where to drill if you don’t have specialized tools to look for water.

If a buyer pays for a survey, the surveyor they hired will only provide results to them. It’s up to the buyer whether they share the survey results with the seller or not, even if they ultimately walk away from the deal. It’s considered good faith to share the results with the seller, though, especially if you back out of the deal, as the seller can then provide that survey to future interested parties.
