"If you are considering Riverside Painters, my recommendation is to ?Proceed with Caution?. I hired them in March/April 2025 and received much less than expected. Aleks will write you a great contract, however not follow the agreement once started, he will take short cuts especially when you are not paying attention. Attention to detail as outlined in the contract is not their strength and considers items petty when you point out (see pictures). First of all, Riverside consist of just Aleks and 1 part-time employee. The majority of wall painting/rolling is subcontracted to young inexperienced people not affiliated with Riverside and Aleks does not take responsibility for their work. As you will see in the attached contract language, Aleks was supposed to remove cabinet doors, use a stripper gel, stain and replaced. He ended up leaving the doors on and sanded, not what was agreed to. Also see language regarding wall preparation and pictures of the results. I wouldn't use them"

Yes, you can touch up a newly painted ceiling, but it's not a common occurrence. If you need to touch up new ceiling paint, be sure to use the original paint. Because gutters are consistently exposed to elements like water and humidity, any paint applied to them will have a shorter life span than other exterior home features, like siding and shutters. In general, painted gutters will need to be touched up or completely repainted every 5 to 10 years, though you may get a couple extra years with regular care and maintenance.

This may come down to personal preference, but it’s generally best to paint the ceiling before you paint the walls. Why? Painting the ceiling can be more physically demanding, and painting the ceiling last may result in drips or splatters that would mess up freshly painted walls. By painting the ceiling first, you’ll avoid having to touch up walls after any painting accidents. It may not matter, though, if you’re painting the ceiling the same color as the walls.
