"Best home contractor service I have ever experienced. Their service was very affordable, completed on time, and fixed a dozen squeaks and a big dip in our floor in less than a day. Truly amazing. I wish all contractors were this dependable!"

"I worked specifically with Kerry and will hire him again and again for future projects. He is honest, hardworking, follows through, and made this experience enjoyable. He refinished my hardwood floors, replaced carpet with LVT, and retiled two rooms. Iâ m so happy with how everything turned out. He has also made himself available to help with other things around the house. Good service like that is hard to find and I am so glad I found him early on in my home ownership. I highly recommend Hardwood Sand Refinish!"

"The person who measured our floors did a terrible job. They over measured by over 100 square feet on a job that was only 650 sq feet. I knew this because I had previously measured the same area. When I asked to see their measurements, I noticed the person failed to remove square footage where cabinets existed and also squared off rooms that we're not square. This contributed to the over measure. After I pressed them with these findings, they performed a re-calculation I and came in 100 sq ft less. This was exactly where I expected. Besides the mis-measurement, the actual installers were great. Murphy subcontracted to JBM Floors and I loved them.

Floor Sanding questions, answered by experts

In Union, create a seasonal inspection routine by checking boundary markers each spring after freeze-thaw cycles and heavy rains. During summer, trim back vegetation along property lines and look for any changes caused by storms. Fall is ideal for reviewing boundaries as foliage drops, while winter is best for planning future surveying work. Align inspections with local events or school breaks for convenience.

Helpful?

For land surveying in Union, gather any existing property maps, boundary markers, and details about terrain changes or wooded areas. Note the location of fences, driveways, and any water features. Be aware of nearby utility lines and any known drainage issues. Sharing details about past improvements or additions helps your surveyor accurately assess your property and plan the project around Union’s unique landscape.

Helpful?

Your Union home may need a land survey if property lines are unclear, you have mature trees or fences near boundaries, or you’re planning to build an addition or new structure. Homes on uneven ground or near creeks often benefit from updated surveys. If you notice shifting markers or are considering selling or subdividing, a survey helps ensure your property boundaries are accurate and up to date.

Helpful?

For land surveying projects in Union, keep sturdy gloves, brush cutters, and reflective vests for working along wooded or overgrown boundaries. Weatherproof flagging tape and extra survey stakes are helpful for marking lines in changing conditions. Store rust-resistant pins and a mallet for setting markers. Carry a tick repellent and a basic first aid kit, as Union’s climate and terrain can present outdoor hazards.

Helpful?

To keep land surveying projects in Union safe for children and pets, set up clear boundaries using visible markers or temporary fencing to keep them away from survey equipment and work areas. Schedule surveys when children are at school or pets can be supervised indoors. Discuss safety rules with your family, and consider using the project as a learning moment about property boundaries and respecting marked zones.
