"Neat, polite and helpful with future projects. He had to run electric power for dishwasher and a light and fan in a room without a current fixture. Also installed a ceiling fan where there was only a light. Have prices on upgrading current plugins."

"We had JEK install some pendent lights in our kitchen and a backup generator for the house, and they did an awesome job! JEK is super reliable, always showed up when they said they would, and really paid attention to the little details. Everything looks great and works perfectly. You can tell they take their work seriously and want to make sure it’s done right. Would definitely call them again and recommend them to anyone needing electrical work."

"Oh my gosh, I can't tell you how impressed we are with Drew! He is pleasant, friendly and efficient! Had him come to the house to replace ALL of our light fixtures! Not only did he hang them all but took all the old ones with him and cleaned up all the cartons, everything!! We are having come back to replace all the vanity lights, closet lights, hang smoke detectors, check the switch on our fireplace and hang new outdoor fixtures for us oh and add a ring doorbell! I just wish he could do everything we need done in the house from plumbing to painting! That is how wonderful he and his work is! Highly recommend and get it done right the first time!"

Doorbell Installation questions, answered by experts

Insulation is professionally installed by measuring spaces, cutting materials to fit correctly, and placing them without gaps for optimal thermal resistance.

Natural fiber batts and spray foam insulation both work great for soundproofing. Newer materials, such as hemp batts, are more expensive but more effective for insulation and sound blocking. They are also more sustainable. There is also a professional system called Blow-In Blanket Insulation (BIBS) that is soundproof and moisture-resistant. However, BIBS must be installed professionally and can be a costly investment.

The cost to install or upgrade insulation generally ranges from $1.50 to $4.00 per square foot. The final price depends on factors such as the type of insulation chosen, the total area to be covered (home size), and local labor costs.

We do not recommend fiberglass insulation for soundproofing purposes, especially if you are working on a room that’s part of your living space. Fiberglass insulation is dangerous, and the installation process is hazardous. It is also harmful to the environment. When there are so many newer, healthier non-fiberglass alternatives in the market, the lower cost of fiberglass insulation simply doesn’t justify the harm and danger it poses.

The most insulative type of insulation for behind drywall is spray foam insulation, but this is the most expensive insulation available. The most common insulation—sometimes considered the best for the value you get for the money—is fiberglass roll or fiberglass batt insulation, which is significantly more affordable but also far less insulative. The best kind of insulation for your house will also vary based on the climate in your area, your budget, and more. A professional insulation company can help you decide which type is best for your home.
