"I called American and was able to get an appointment within the next couple of days. The repairman arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and told me how much it would cost to fix it. I agreed. He thought he had the part in his truck, but he checked and he didn't have it. He said he would need to buy the part and wouldn't be able to fix it that day. He told me when to expect him to be back with the part. I was surprised when he called that afternoon and said he'd bought the part and could fix the washer that afternoon, if that was convenient for me.
