Customers say: Quality work

"Steve came out on short notice on a Saturday to install my water heater. He returned calls, showed up when he said he would, did the work quickly and professionally, and saved my family from a weekend of cold showers in February. He will be our go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommended."

Emergency services offered

"Robert Watson and one of his sons, John, came to my home to solve myriad plumbing problems that had been overlooked by a home inspector during the home purchase. They gave expert advice, including multiple options, and once decisions were made they spent one very long day fixing everything from sewer lines, pipes, appliances both large and small, to showers and toilets. In that one day I went from water pouring down from my kitchen ceiling through the cabinets, two unusable bathrooms, and a sewer leak in my basement to a pristine, leak-free home environment that is move-in ready. I am hiring Watson Plumbing again to address some storm drain issues that previous plumbers have been unable to fix. With utmost confidence, I highly recommend the Watsons for their excellent, diligent service, their workmanship and product knowledge, and their reasonable price. Also, they left every workspace clean and removed the old fixtures, as well as the packaging from the new fixtures. 10/10!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

If used correctly and sparingly, root killer shouldn’t damage your pipes. Make sure to follow the instructions on the back of the bottle or the company’s website to avoid any unintended damages. However, when it comes to copper sulfate, it’s better to avoid it. This type of root killer can damage your plumbing and the surrounding environment.

The average cost to replace a toilet fill valve is around $100, and prices range from $50 up to $150, depending on your location, the experience of the plumber, and how accessible your toilet is. In most cases, a professional plumber can replace your fill valve in under an hour, although it might take longer if they also need to fix or replace other components at the same time.

According to the EPA, there is no safe level of lead in the blood, and so the maximum contaminant level goal (MCLG) for lead in water is zero. Even at low levels, lead is harmful to human health. It can also remain in the body and build up over time with repeated exposure.

There are several indicators that your washing machine’s drain pump is bad, including incomplete cycles, water not draining, lack of spinning, a foul odor when the machine is running, and a loud grinding or buzzing noise when the pump is trying to move water down the drain.

After flushing the toilet, you should have about half a tank full of water. While the exact amount of water you’ll have will vary, you want to make sure you have enough to cover the bottom of the bowl and enough to sit above the P-trap drain. While low water in your toilet bowl can indicate a problem, too much water can also be cause for concern.
