"We were thrilled.  The company certainly lives up to it's name.  I had another chimney company look at the same problem and told us we would have to completely tear out our brick chimney and install a new one.  Sleep Easy looked at the chimney and said the structure of the chimney was just fine. We just needed to put a sealant on the bricks to keep the water out.  Total cost, which included a gutter cleaning, was about $800.  This price also included a minor repair on the fire box in the house.  Their representative knew his business and spent a lot of time answering our questiosn and solving the issue.

Customers say: Super punctual

"My job was quite small abut was treated just the same as if it was a large scale project. The chimney cap that was installed looks great and the chimney required some modifications which were done without additional charge."

"Michael came out to do an inspection on our chimney before we went to use it. I am so glad he did. He found that there had been a fire in the chimney flu and it could have been a major problem had we gone to use it before getting it inspected. He was very helpful to answer all our questions and helped us tremendously. Great job."

"Raul installed two exhaust/light fans in two bathrooms including a bit of rewiring and all ducting in the attic. He was on top of the communication, on time and very fair priced. He's definitely a keeper in my address book and will be getting more work from me in the very near future."

"The guys did a great job and worked quickly! They relaid our whole paver patio and put a better foundation under it (it was installed poorly before we built the house). I felt like they were honest, incredibly hardworking and affordable."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

You should change the batteries in your smoke detectors at least once per year. Mark it on your calendar or make it a holiday or birthday tradition so that you always remember it. You should also be testing your smoke alarms monthly to ensure they’re working properly and can alert you in case of an emergency.

Yes, spider webs are flammable, taking them from minor household nuisance to something more dangerous. Silk boasts no built-in resistance to fire, though it takes an abundance of spider webs to actually catch fire and spread. A cobweb here and there poses no major fire safety risk, so it’s not a cause for concern.

Generally, an oil furnace is considered safer than a gas furnace for several reasons. While both types of furnaces can produce carbon monoxide, a leak in an oil furnace is easier to detect due to the smell. Oil furnaces also don't connect to a gas pipeline, which reduces the chance of a fuel leak. Most importantly, heating oil is not combustible, whereas natural gas is highly flammable. This means there is a much lower risk of combustion or explosion with an oil furnace. However, an oil furnace can still pose a fire hazard if it tips over.

In some cases, you can use a fireplace once the insert has been removed. However, before burning a fire, you must have a professional inspect it and the chimney to make sure they're functioning properly and no damage has occurred from removing the insert. That’s because using a fireplace without an insert could create fire hazards due to issues with airflow and heat dispersion, depending on the fireplace design and material. A professional can advise on whether you should make certain repairs or modifications before using your fireplace as an open hearth.

Recessed lights, as with any kind of light, can be a fire hazard if not installed correctly. Because of this, it’s best to have a professional complete the installation for you. Properly installed lights should not pose a threat and often have heat sensors installed in them that turn the light off if the temperature gets too high.
