"Very well. Cody arrived promptly and did a full inspection of the roof and gutter areas. No entry points were found. He provided an estimate for bait control stations for mice, chipmunks, etc. The estimate was very reasonable and we plan to call them back to place the bait control stations."

"We had the team check our house to make sure we didn’t have bats since two of our neighbors did. Thankfully, they did not find any current bats in our house, but apparently did have a few at one time. They did find evidence of mice/rodent in the attic. So they put out appropriate measures for that. They also reviewed our insulation and noticed that it was quite light in areas. It will be coming back to actually put in new insulation for us. They were very friendly and very hard workers. They took their time, checking the house to make sure there weren’t any holes that bats could come in since the neighbors had a maternal population of bats. They took excellent photos/videos of things they found and showed it to us. Offered to help me carrying my groceries when I return from Sam’s Club. Just a super nice crew. Thanks so much team. We really appreciate it and we look forward to seeing you when you put in the new insulation!"

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Always begin by removing the gnat's source of food. Toss rotting fruit, place new fruit in the fridge, and switch the soil of your houseplants.

The best way to get rid of gnats in the kitchen is by baiting and trapping them with something sweet. Combine water with a few drops of dish soap, apple cider vinegar, and 1 tablespoon of sugar into a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and poke small holes to trap the gnat in the liquid.

Absolutely! Keeping up to date with regular flea treatments for pets, washing their bedding, and vacuuming regularly are all simple and inexpensive ways to help prevent a flea infestation from developing in the first place.

Annual flea control treatments for your pet typically cost between $40 and $200. Talk to your vet about safe and effective options.

Keeping up with garden maintenance also helps make your yard less inviting for fleas. Mow your lawn regularly, don’t overwater, and avoid attracting rodents by carefully storing food waste, removing clutter, and sealing holes.

If the cat is stray (you noticed a collar or other signs of domestication), the kind thing to do is to try and find the owner. Call around to other neighbors to see if they can lead you in the right direction. If you can get close enough to snap a picture, try posting an image of the cat to local community groups and pages on social media.

If the cat is feral, you can try to humanely trap them and participate in a local shelter’s TNR program. Before attempting capture, call around to local rescues and shelters to make sure one near you does participate in a TNR program. They may even be able to catch the cat for you.

You should hire a wasp or hornet removal professional to get rid of an active or dormant hornet nest. Due to the feisty and dangerous nature of these pests, it’s best to hire a professional who has the proper skills, tools, and experience to remove a nest safely. Do not attempt to remove an active hornet nest on your own.

Groundhogs love to eat a variety of plant matter. This includes beans, peas, sunflowers, tender greens such as leafy vegetables, clover, dandelion, and alfalfa, and sweet fruits such as apples and berries. Groundhogs eat up to a pound and a half of plant matter each day, so household gardens often become their prime target.
