He could have easily have told me to spend that additional cash on a back-up, but instead won a customer for life with his honesty and integrity. My new sump pump was scheduled for install just two days after Anthony visited. It took him less than 10 minutes to complete the job, and I was immediately on my way back to work. "I started looking for remodeling companies at the remodeling show several months before I met with companies to discuss price, etc. Frankly, I walked past the Young Remodeling booth because it was so beautiful that I assumed it would be too expensive. However, after checking the ratings on Angie's List, I decided to get a bid from Young. They were the fourth of four contractors I to bid on the job. When I got their bid, I told Randy that they came in 2-3 thousand higher than anyone else. The net day, he called me back and said that the owner, Paul Young would like to meet with me. Paul and Randy came out and looked at the bathroom. Then Paul and I discussed what I envisioned for the bathroom. He said that they could come very close to what the others had bid. Later, when I was discussing the options with my husband, I realized that Young was the only company that was going to take out all of the walls, floor, and ceiling, not just those in the tub/shower area. With the other contractors, I was going to have to remove the wallpaper myself. The folks at Young told me not to bother removing the wallpaper since they would be tearing out the walls and using waterproof backer board throughout the entire bathroom. They also were the only ones to bid a new window rather than re-use the old one. In addition, the other contractors said it would be a problem to move the toilet, but Young suggested we move it in order to increase the size of the shower. They told me that moving the stool was no problem at all. In addition to all of the above, Paul Young held my hand through the entire process. He gave me sound design advice, then went with me to pick out everything. He even told me when items I chose would exceed my budget. When I chose a counter top and shower door that would increase the cost, he asked me several times if I was sure I wanted to incur the increased cost. He held my deposit check until he felt certain that I was certain about the increase. I appreciated his concern and patience. The project took a little longer than anticipated, but that was because I pushed them to start sooner than planned and therefore, the custom items weren't quite ready. It was well worth the wait. The quality of the work done in the bathroom is phenomenal. The tile work is gorgeous, and the custom vanity exceeded expectations. When I changed my mind in mid project about the placement of the grab bars which had already been installed, it was no big deal to them even though the change required extra sheet rock work. I added a minor change to the project which also increased the total cost. The addition was to install a comfort height toilet and grab bars in my 1/2 bath on the main level of the house. Now both of the bathrooms my mother uses are safe as well as beautiful.

"Shawn is a wonderful person. We really are going to miss his sense of humor and positive attitude. We met with him and he had us do the homework on what we wanted. The total cost of the bathroom was about 11,000 dollars based on the finishes that we chose. His team of Mike, Melvin and Carlos as well as the plumbers were also wonderful. I am very excited to have a tub! He is very honest and I was not there a lot while the work was being done as I also was at work. Remodeling can be stressful but Shawn explained everything along the way. He knows the best cabinet designer Doug Smythe at Quality wood products. I cannot say enough about my vanity. It was less than my quote from Home Depot. If you are not satisfied with something Shawn will fix it. I will hire him again if I decide to remodel anything else in my house."

"Dishwasher and ceiling fan service was wonderful. Garbage disposal is on its way, the shower fixture was a little messy and have to return 3 times to fix, pray its the last time. But not Choice Warranty's fault. Alittle pricey but allows you to pay them out."

"We had a bit of a rough start: the project was started about a month late. That left me feeling anxious, but I was also in contact with our sales rep Karin, and she always responded to my questions in a timely manner. I have to thank her also for being super patient with all of the questions I texted her over the course of the project, too, she is super! Once the project started, things moved very smoothly. The first team took care of installing all of the studs, drywall, and all the mudding/taping, which went up over about 2 weeks of daily work. They wrapped up with spraying the ceiling with a nice texture. The gentlemen performing the work always cleaned things up when they would leave for the day, and asked questions as needed. Once the first effort completed, the detailing crew took over the day to day work, which included installing the trim, doors, flooring, banister and spindles for the stairs, and took care of the painting. The electrician came on a couple of occasions to handle lights, outlets and the like, and the plumbing work was done toward the end (most of it was already in place, just a matter of redirecting the sink's drain). It took a couple more weeks to wrap up with everything that needed to be finished, including the installation of the new toilet and sink. The only issue we kind of struggled with was sometimes I would ask the crew a question and they had no prior knowledge of some aspect that was supposed to be completed - specifically an access panel to the humidifier behind one of the walls. What I learned though is that the whole team typically had meetings before arriving at the house to discuss the day's tasks, and that if I went to Karin first to ask about something, she would then make sure the crew knew what needed to be done. Once I understood that dynamic, we didn't have any more concerns - just have to be attentive and proactive in reaching out for information. Overall, my husband and I are SUPER happy with the results! We love this new space! Everyone involved in completing the basement remodel was very professional, and honestly they left the basement even cleaner than they found it. We would definitely consider having them over again if we have another remodeling project to complete."
