"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"The Home Team did a great job of finishing off our basement drywall, drywall ceiling repairs and installation of vinyl tile flooring. It transformed the space and now we have a dedicated play area for our young child."

"My actual project will not begin until July. Decorator had no problem entering into a written contract prior to project start. Upon completion of project will re-evaluate and comment on skills and services."

"Everything went better than I expected. Was referred to B&T painting from a coworker. Extremely happy with how good everything turned out. Brett and his crew were very professional showed up on schedule and actually got the job done ahead of schedule. He even cleaned out some clogged gutters I had without even asking for more money. If you’re hesitant about pulling the trigger I hope this review helps you make the right choice. I am so thankful I did my home looks terrific definitely the best looking in the neighborhood."

Interior Design and Decorating questions, answered by experts

Yes, many providers offer design consultations to help optimize and maximize space, functionality, and usage. It is recommended to confirm the availability of this service with your specific installer or contractor.

It’s unnecessary to tip holiday decorators, and most professionals won’t expect it, but it’s a nice gesture to show your appreciation for their work. If the expert goes above and beyond to keep your delicate decorations safe, or they’re hanging your exterior lights and putting out lawn decorations in freezing temperatures or inclement weather, a tip between 10% and 20% of your total will be appreciated. Large jobs that include interior and exterior work are also good opportunities to tip, especially if your expert is performing a rush job close to the holidays.

Costs depend on project size, customization, and the designer’s experience and hourly rate.

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.

Services include layout planning, material selection, lighting design, and appliance placement to optimize the space.
