"FIREPLACE ELECTRICAL INSERT!! We hired Vinc and crew a second time to make the fireplace insert happen. They worked very hard to modify the old brick opening and seal everything up properly. Vinc has great suggestions and ideas! He created us a one of a kind beautiful year round updated look for our home we love & been enjoying for two weeks! We will hire him again!"

"Kleeschulte replaced my driveway in three stages on three consecutive days: they tore out the old driveway, they poured the new driveway, and they cleaned up. The men who tore out the old driveway took great care to not disturb our landscaping or sprinkler system. The men who poured the new driveway carefully navigated the cement mixer around our new mailbox and old tree. The man who did the cleanup was nice enough to keep the grass seed out of the flower beds, and instead he put a little extra in a bare spot on our lawn. What really struck me was how everyone spoke to each other pleasantly: there was no bickering. The best part was that when each of them had a momentary break they would spend it standing and looking at my driveway. They liked how it looked, and they liked what they were doing. We are very pleased with the result."

"The team arrived on a messy, rainy day and I was most impressed by how clean they managed to keep everything. I needed a drain and sump installed along our front basement wall. They were fast and courteous throughout the job. My only minor complaint was the roughness of the cement patch job over the finished trench. But since I covered most of the repair with carpet it's hasn't really been an issue. Overal, I was very happy with the work and professionalism of this company."

"I had some loose metal that was very dangerous if it had broken off. Mr Freeman was near by and was able to come reattach the metal. It was really cold but that didn't stop him from reattaching the loose portions. I was really grateful for the emergency work."

Small jobs welcome

"Hannon Construction treated my house as if it was their own. The floors are spectacular and historically correct. The project was done to our 1907 built house, so naturally there were some further fixes uncovered in the process.. They were always forthright, and extremely thorough every step of the way. The project remained on time due to their diligence in spite of it being more complicated than expected. Overall we couldnâ t be more satisfied, and I would use them again 10/10"

"Baldwin has been such an easy company to work with from Cailin who gave us our quote to the guys who came and installed the awning. The install was quick and they were meticulous about cleaning up (which was so important as we have small kids and dogs!) We are so thankful that we got the best value for the price and can't wait to spend the summers outside grilling in the shade!"

Patio Covers questions, answered by experts

Yes, awnings can add value to a home, primarily by boosting its curb appeal and providing more usable outdoor space. While the exact monetary return on investment depends on the awning's size, style, and quality, they offer an excellent appeal factor to potential buyers. For example, an awning with a trendy metal roof can be particularly attractive. Even if the direct increase in resale value is modest, a well-chosen awning enhances the home's functionality and aesthetic.

Clean regularly with mild soap and water, and retract during severe weather to prevent damage.

Aluminum patio roofs can make noise during rainstorms, though how much noise they make depends on how heavy it’s raining and if the roof is insulated or not. Light rain falling on your roof might sound soothing but if you live in an area with serious and consistent rainfall, the novelty of the sound might wear off. In any case, the rain you'll hear shouldn't sound louder than a normal conversation or air conditioner, about 50 dB to 55 dB.

The cheapest material for covering a tennis court is rubber or clay. Rubber needs to be installed over a concrete or asphalt base, however, which can make the project more expensive up-front (but cheaper to resurface over time). Clay courts are among the most affordable, but they aren’t the best to play on and require a lot of maintenance.

The average cost to build a pergola ranges from $2,200 to $6,400, whereas the average cost of an awning ranges from $1,400 to $4,400, meaning that an awning tends to be less expensive to build or install than a pergola. Ultimately, the less expensive option depends on a few factors, including size, quality of materials used, and location.
