"They couldn't give me a price over the phone (even though it's a standard repair), they will only give you a price by coming to your home. If you don't use their service, they charge a trip charge of $59. As it turns out, their "book price" for a PRV is beyond ridiculous at nearly $800. The parts run $125ish at RETAIL (Home Depot), and it can't take more than 2 hours TOPS to replace it (less than an hour based on multiple Youtube videos), so MAYBE $450 could be considered “reasonable”. I’m VERY unhappy that their prices are so exorbitant, and I even had to pay for the privilege of having somebody come all of the way here to tell me the “book price”, when they could have given me that price over the phone and kept us both from wasting time and $. It’s troubling to have to pay a trip charge just to get a ridiculously overpriced bid. Another vendor gave me a fixed price, OVER THE PHONE, of $400. No trip charge, no funny games. I just sent the technician home. I’m usually not very vocal, but this is egregious. Obviously, I would NOT recommend this company."

"They did get the job done. Problem was 2 weeks ago it was clogged with "flushable" wipes and yesterday another wad of wipes. I literally stopped using them before ever calling the plumbers realizing they were the issue. He fixed the clog free this time but insinuated the idea that it was my fault. Unless they got stuck in the pipes on the way to the basement not my fault for the second time. Unsure about hiring again."

"Only rating 1 because it doesn't go lower. Had a new unit installed end of Sept 24. First time power goes out on 11/5, no electricity. When tri state sells you a product, they pitch their amazing customer service with all these guarnatees of knowing when your unit is out before you know and having someone there within 24 hours etc. Well, the first call we make we are told it will be the end of Nov to get someone out to look at it. 3 weeks. Nobody shows up. Then we get a call that says "your appointment on Dec 12 has been canceled and the earliest we can get to you is Jan 16th. This is 2.5 months wait to get service to fix a nearly $20k unit, that is upcharged because of the excellent service. You can't get anyone to answer your call. you wait on hold for 20 minutes, then have to leave a voicemail in which you will not get called back. Based on my experience, find someone else and pay less. Even if the service is bad, which it can't be worse than this, you save money! @kohler"
