"Since the work was done, installed sump pumps with battery backup, installed tube drain around inside perimeter of crawl space, etc, it has rained heavily for a week. The new system is working great with no flooding of crawl space, thus saving the furnace that is in crawl space. I highly recommend this company. You can also reslope your yard to make sure water flows away from the window well (and your home’s foundation), and you can even install a window well cover to prevent debris from building up. Installing an actual drainpipe at the base of the well can also prevent window well drainage problems.

If the drain pump on your washing machine is continuously draining, it could be that the control board is damaged and requires repair, or there’s a clogged or kinked drain hose. If you can’t locate the problem, you’ll want to have a plumber or appliance repair expert come take a look.

Although linear drains allow water to flow quickly and efficiently, they tend to clog more easily than traditional drains. Linear drains are flush with the shower floor, allowing soap scum and hair to potentially build up. They’re also longer than other drains, allowing for more space to let debris fall into the drainpipe. 

Start by unscrewing the overflow valve, which is located on the wall of your tub between the floor drain and the tub spout. Gently insert a plumbing snake down into the pipe, move it back and forth, and pull it out. Remove any hair, debris, and soap scum that comes out with it. Repeat the process until the snake comes out clean, and then reinstall the cap on your overflow valve.
