"Great work. Showed up on time. Team hit the ground running. Due to space considerations and the size of the tree, the crew had to drop the tree manually. They moved yard “stuff” (birdbath , etc.) that might be in the trees path. Very professional. Team constantly raking and picking up debris. When they were done they left a very clean space behind, with no yard divots and only a little sawdust. We had a very large tree, and they had it down and out in four hours. Victor was our contact and he was very professional and explained every step of the process. Highly recommend. We are scheduling A & M for additional tree work in the fall."

"I hired them to trim my hedge, take out some patio ties and remove roots from the old plants. Also, they trimmed the lower branches from my trees. I was very pleased. They arrived on time and did a great job! I highly recommend them."

"I very seldom if ever write reviews. But for this company I feel the need to express my gratitude for a job well done. They cut a huge tree down in the front of my house-very close to my house and we were a bit uneasy with the removal but it had to be done. They worked with us on price and the guys that showed up were professional and extremely kind. We had an issue after the tree was cut down with a log hitting our sprinkler system and it got smashed. They came out and repair that free of charge! They are now our go to for sprinkler systems. GREAT COMPANY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!"

"I was given a free estimate by Hurst Felling company and was extremely satisfied with their price. They were able to come out shortly after me excepting their estimate and quickly removed the tree in my front yard. They got all the debris and hauled all the wood away very efficiently. I would strongly recommend this company for tree removal."

"Tom did an amazing job taking out a large pine and a large cedar after storms damaged them this spring. These trees were between two sets of power lines which made for what I thought would be a tricky job. No problem for Tom. He took them down and left my yard looking great. All this at half the price of everyone else. A true professional!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you don’t trim your palm trees, you can expect several negative outcomes, including:

  • Unhealthy palm trees attract pests, diseases, and fungi

  • Dead falling fronds can cause severe injury or damage to your home, pedestrians, or cars

  • Dead palm branches are flammable and can catch fire, especially during a lightning storm

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

It’s not always easy to tell when a tree is dying, although signs like dropping branches and brittle bark can sometimes offer clues. It can also be difficult to know whether a tree is dead or dormant, especially if it’s a deciduous tree. You’ll want to wait until a growth season to get a good idea of a tree’s health. When in doubt, contact an arborist for a consultation.

If you’re buying a small tree with lots of room to grow, expect to pay around $100 to $200 for a potted version. But if you’re buying a larger tree—say one over 10 feet—prices rise, starting in the $500 to $600 range and increasing quickly from there. Keep in mind that paying for professional palm tree planting or transplanting services will increase the cost.
