"Our new water softener which is a Fleck SXT made our water soft but it stunk terrible. We couldnâ t stand it. It made me nauseated. We could not get the help from the company we purchased the system through. The only way they could help was for us to buy another $600 filter to add on to our water softener. The water guys tested our water. It was soft. They recommended for us to clean out our hot water heater and take out the anode rode. We did this which my husband said was easy.
