"I hired Vince Anderson of Fence and Concrete Masters to redo my front deck on my house. He started work approximately March of 2024. As of today, 9/22/2025 it is still unfinished and he has not responded to my attempts at contact since October 2024. Most of it has to be redone. Which has been extremely frustrating and expensive because no one wants to finish a messed up job. All previous reviews I?ve read since then (my mistake of not researching him prior) he has rebuttals putting off everything back into his customers. He is a master at BS and reflecting blame in order to avoid responsibility for his messes. I paid the deposit of $3,500 plus an additional $2,000 part way into his mess, which was to go to materials and supplies of which I only have approximately $1,000 worth of wood materials. They would come and work a day at a time about once every 2-3 weeks. I would have to call him and then they would show up for a few hours. In October 2024 he completely stopped responding."

Full line Asphalt company that has been in business for over 50 years..

"WE HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ALMOST THREE YEARS. FEBRUARY 1, 2017 PATCHED CRACKS WITH HOT RUBBERIZED CRACK FILLER FOR $325 WITH A TWO YEAR WARRANTY. CAME BACK JUNE 5, 2017 AND SEALED DRIVE WITH CONTRACTOR SEALER FOR $325 AND WARRANTY SAYS IF IT NEEDS SEALED BEFORE 2019 WILL DO IT FOR NOTHING. CAME BACK AUGUST 8, 2018 AND PATCHED CRACKS WITH RUBBERIZED CRACK FILLER AND SEALED ASPHALT DRIVE. CHARGED ANOTHER $325. CALLED THEM BACK SAME DAY AS CRACKS WERE NOT FILLED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE BACK BUT DIDN'T SHOW UP. THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL CALLS AND TEXTS. THEY FINALLY SHOWED UP IN SEPTEMBER AND TRIED FILLING CRACKS BY MIXING ASPHALT WITH SAND. THEY CAME AND ASKED IF WE HAD ANY SAND BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH AND IF WE DIDN'T THEY WOULD HAVE TO GO GET SOME AND COME BACK. WE DIDN'T AND THEY LEFT AND WE HAVEN'T SEEN THEM AGAIN. THEY WON'T ANSWER MY CALLS OR TEXTS SO MY HUSBAND CALLED FROM HIS PHONE AND THEY ANSWERED. HE ASKED FOR OUR MONEY BACK AND OF COURSE WE'VE NOT HEARD FROM THEM. I INFORMED THEM DECEMBER 19,2019 THAT I WAS CONTACTING ANGIE'S LIST AND LEAVING A NEGATIVE REVIEW. THEY HAVEN'T RESPONDED. I HOPE THIS HELPS ANYONE ELSE THAT IS THINKING OF USING THIS COMPANY. THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK AND THEIR WORK IS NOT UP TO PAR. WARRANTY MEANS NOTHING."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Concrete is typically the best material for a driveway if you’re looking for longevity, cost-effectiveness, and ease of maintenance. But, it’s not ideal for areas with annual freeze-frost cycles, nor is it the most attractive option—although you can get it stamped or painted. If your location is consistently below freezing, asphalt may be a better choice.

An asphalt overlay or top coat costs between $3 and $7 per square foot. For a standard, single-car driveway that’s 10 feet wide and 20 feet long, that’s a total of between $600 and $1,400. For a two-car driveway, you’re looking at a total of between $1,200 and $3,000.

Asphalt driveways last anywhere from 15 to 30 years, but if you don’t stay on top of repairs, you may find yourself spending extra to replace your driveway before its typical lifespan. Stay on top of repairing cracks and potholes by routinely inspecting your driveway once or twice a year. It’s a good idea to pressure wash your asphalt driveway at least once a year to keep it clean. Apply a sealer every one to five years, based on your climate.

Gravel is the least expensive driveway type, costing between $1 and $3 per square foot. That said, you’ll likely need to add new gravel filling once or twice a year which can add up in additional costs over time. In addition, be prepared to regularly rake the gravel into place to keep your gravel driveway looking its best.

Think of the street as a way to capture all the elements on either side of the road, including the road—a street encompasses the homes or other buildings, the trees, and the road of a given area as defined by the beginning and end of the street on a map. A roadway, however, is the component of the street where cars travel.
