"I thought that removing 3 trees that were right up to my shed and fence would be a HUGE job. But this very professional team performed these tasks flawlessly and with no problems at all. They were quick, too! They also trimmed a very tall oak tree and it looks great. This team works so well together, their saws and equipment are sharp and well cared for, which results in a good looking trim. As I watched them work with such precision, I knew that I hired the very best tree service possible. I will recommend them to anyone needing tree service."

"When I reached out to Chris he responded to my call quickly. We set a time for them to look at my tree, he came when he said he would. I explained to him my concern was that it was a big tree and it was very close to the house!! He explained what he could do, and how he would do it and that helped me decide to use his company. After setting a time for them to come to cut the tree they arrived on time and started right away. Everything went very smoothly. It was awesome watching professionals cut the tree, and to my relief none of the branches or limbs came anywhere close to the house. They hauled away all the wood and did a great job of cleaning up, no one could tell that a huge tree had jus been cut down. I really appreciated the job they did! . John"

"Trees, house, garages, outbuildings, and electric lines on one "tight" acre setting on a steep hillside. Hired them for one job because it was cheaper than I expected; then I hired them to remove more trees on the upper area of my acre...very hard work, dangerous, and it can get expensive...but I was very glad to get it done. They did a good job."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The depth of tree roots depends on the species. Trees like oaks and maples can have root systems that grow down 20 feet or more. However, trees that grow in shallow soils will have roots that go only a few feet down. Research how your tree species grows in your climate area to estimate root depth.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.

If your palm tree has spots on the leaves, rotting buds, or is beginning to turn yellow, then you have a sick tree on your hands. You should contact a palm tree specialist to identify the problem and help treat the tree if possible. Preventing diseases and pests is key to a healthy palm tree, and it's essential to take action as soon as possible if your tree is showing signs of being sick.

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.
