"Reynold's Tree Service provides top-quality work! He and his team are experienced, prompt, and get the job done quickly and safely.... and for a great price. I have hired him several times now and he always does outstanding work, whether it's trimming and shaping trees or taking down an entire 80 foot tall grandaddy that had succumbed to disease. I had several huge oaks fall on fences after the storm and others down that needed cutting up. They were respectful to the property and got the fences cleared. I have many more trees to tend to and will definitely be hiring him in the New Year!"

"Im speechless. Long story short, they were quick to get me in. They were friendly, and efficient. They clearly knew what they were doing. I didn't get to meet Randy in person, but it went exactly as he said it would. I appreciate and respect a company that does what they say they are gonna do. They went above and beyond. Gary and Brandy are Amazing!!! Customer service is a dying art but R & B really impressed me. I wish I had the space to tell the whole story but Ill just say that when its time to deal with the trees in the back, I know who Im gonna call. Thank you Randy and everyone at R&B Tree Service and Landscaping! Im beyond impressed with your work and your company!"

"It went better than I could have expected! They were quick to respond with a quote and was easy to schedule. They had the tree and the stump gone in no time! The owner, Allan, was even on site. He doesn't just send his crew out to do the job, he gets his hands dirty too. Very impressive. I would definitely recommend!"

"R&B came out right away for an estimate and beat the other estimate I got. They were back 2 days later to trim a very large tree in the front yard and several trees in the back. This was 4 days before the tornado hit our area. I didn't have any damage but if the tree in the front wasn't trimmed back, it might have landed on the house. Thanks R&B for your quick response and quality work!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

If you don’t stake a tree that needs support, it could be at greater risk of being damaged or failing completely, whether it uproots or falls over. That could cause damage to your property or other surrounding trees. If you want to grow healthy trees, you may need to stake them for best results.

Since overwatering can harm mature trees just as much as a lack of water, it’s important to know the signs of an overwatered tree. If your tree’s leaves are yellowing, wilting, or dropping leaves, it’s likely that you’re overwatering. Other common signs include rotting, fungi, soggy soil, soft or peeling bark, falling leaves, and brittle roots.

If you realize that you’ve been overwatering your mature tree, stop watering and give the soil time to dry out. Then moving forward, increase time between watering sessions.

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

It’s possible, although a lot depends on the cause of damage and what steps you take. If the remaining parts of the maple tree are alive and not under attack by disease or pests, they can often be saved even if large portions of the maple tree have died. Frequent watering, careful pruning, mulch, and any recommended fungicides or insecticides can all help with survival.

Transporting a fully-grown tree requires heavy equipment, typically specialized for the task. A tree spade is a truck-mounted tool that removes the tree from the ground in one location, transports it, and places it in a new hole in a new location. A combination of mechanized shovels and lifts is necessary to move very large trees, and the exact tools often depend on location and the surrounding area.
