"Looked at several contractors to stucco my fireplace. Tri County was prompt, did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend."

"They were able to do the very specialized repair that needed to be done to my steel plate that none of the other companies would even really give me a safe bid on. I would absolutely use their services again in the future if I need to."

"We needed to remove stucco to replace 2- 3-wide bank of windows. Phil pointed out wood rot areas around the windows and discussed several options. He removed additional stucco to repair the wood rot and worked with the window installer to insure an excellent foundation for the windows. Once installation of windows was complete Phil promptly reinstalled stucco and spend a significant amount of time insuring the pattern and color of the stucco matched the existing stucco. Phil was easy to work with and went beyond the scope of the project but only charged for a portion of the additional time he spent including a couple of extra trips to our house.

"1st, met with John on time, as promised, and reviewed the driveway, walk and stoop to figure the best solution to repair and resurface.
After contract was signed, workers arrived on time with all tools and supplies needed. This was the hottest week of summer and I must say the workers performed beyond my expectations to complete.
Very satisfied with result and would highly recommend ClassiConcrete."

Stucco questions, answered by experts

German schmear is a durable brick masonry coating. It should last at least a decade or two without flaking or fading, even with minimal maintenance. This makes it an economical option compared to the cost of painting your house exterior, which usually needs to be repainted every five to 10 years to keep it looking its best—thus costing more over the same time period.

It’s not advisable to use CLR on stucco. CLR is a powerful acidic cleaner designed for removing tough mineral stains. Stucco is a porous material commonly made of cement, lime, and sand. The acidic nature of CLR can potentially damage or etch the stucco surface, leading to discoloration or deterioration.

It is best to use cleaning solutions specifically formulated for stucco or mild household cleaners mixed with water to clean stucco siding. Always test any cleaning product in a small, inconspicuous area before applying it to the entire stucco surface.

Solid, unpainted stucco shouldn’t suffer damage from dots of glue used for this task. If the stucco is dirty, you may notice slight marks when you heat and peel the glue away, but these aren’t permanent.

However, not all stucco walls are solid stucco. Some are “faux” stucco with a foam backing. This kind of stucco veneer is more susceptible to damage, including damage from hot glue. We don’t suggest attaching anything to these kinds of stucco walls, so make sure you check the stucco type before starting this project.

Repaired stucco requires regular inspections, cleaning to prevent mold or mildew build-up, and timely minor repairs to address hairline cracks. Applying protective sealants can also enhance longevity and maintain its appearance.

Homeowners insurance may cover the cost of siding repair or replacement, but coverage depends on the cause of the damage. Most policies will cover damage from a covered event, such as a storm, wind, hail, fire, natural disaster, or other impact damage. Your policy might pay for the full or partial cost of the repair or replacement. However, damage resulting from age, general wear and tear, or neglect is typically not covered, and you should expect to pay for those repairs out of pocket. It is best to review your specific homeowners insurance policy for full details on what is covered, how to file a claim, and what documentation is required.
