"Footprints Floors of Kansas City did a wonderful job putting hardwood floors throughout my house. I was pleased with the entire process. Footprints Floors did everything in a timely and efficient manner. The owner of the company was present during the process, and the men who did the work were professional craftsman. Thelaying down my new floors, was like watching the completion of a work of art. I’m extremely pleased with the results of my Beautiful hardwoods, and I highly recommend giving Footprints Floors of Kansas City a call. You will be pleased with the process and the results."

"When doing research and looking at reviews of Pros, I saw a comment on Gentry's Hardwood Flooring stating "took longer than expected". As someone who has used the "big stores" for a hardwood flooring project and have now completed my project with Gentry's Hardwood Flooring, there is a difference. The differences are attention to detail, quality, and reputation. The "big stores" subcontract out there work to 'other' installers. Those installers get paid the more jobs they do. While they will sling the flooring and get it done quickly, the amount of issues and mistakes they leave behind can be glaring. Working with Gentry's Hardwood Flooring was a pleasure. Everything the "big store" told me they couldn't do, Gentry's Hardwood Flooring did. The attention to detail is top notch and the results speak for themselves. Gentry's Hardwood Flooring converted 3 bedrooms for us into hardwood flooring including closets and instead of finding quality issues, we are smiling. Thank you!"

"Julio was extremely reliable and was a good communicator. He did what he said he would do for us, and the floor looks great. We'd use him again. He ripped out and carted off carpeting and replaced it with laminate. Big improvement!"

"We had a fantastic experience replacing the floors in our living room and home office. We've got a busy schedule but Mark helped make the process easy. The crews installing the floors were great too. Will definitely call them back for any other flooring needs."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can technically make a crawl space liveable, but the only way to do so is by converting it into a basement. While some crawl spaces are big enough to walk through and store large items, they lack appropriate insulation and space to be liveable.

There are several types of flooring options available for you to choose from. Each option has its durability factor to consider, as well as maintenance components. Some flooring options for you to choose from include:

  • Hardwood

  • Tile

  • Laminate

  • Linoleum

  • Carpeting

  • Stone

  • Cork

Concrete flooring, particularly sealed concrete, is the lowest maintenance flooring available. It is affordable, durable, and can last more than 100 years if you seal it and care for it. Far from just being a boring gray, you can stain, stamp, and even paint concrete to match your style and decor. If concrete is not your thing, consider ceramic tile flooring. It is waterproof, stain resistant, and perfect for wet rooms like kitchens and bathrooms. Luxury vinyl tile also requires very little care; it is water and stain resistant, very durable, and affordable.

New flooring costs quite a bit, so longevity is important to think about. Concrete generally has the longest life span, but it’s not always a good solution for homes with wooden subfloors. That said, hardwood floors and stone floors can last up to 100 years, and you can refinish or restore them to remove imperfections from daily wear.

Popular flooring types for villas include tile, engineered hardwood, laminate, and vinyl. Tiles are often made of ceramic, terra cotta, or porcelain. The flooring you choose for your villa depends on your budget, the room, and the style you prefer.
