"Julio was extremely reliable and was a good communicator. He did what he said he would do for us, and the floor looks great. We'd use him again. He ripped out and carted off carpeting and replaced it with laminate. Big improvement!"

"I was a little confused as I was assured by sales person my flooring was waterproof but was told by installers the floor was water resistant not waterproof. I Contacted Empire but never received a response so was a little disappointed.Question has not been answered."

When you install laminate flooring, you have to install spacers (also called expansion gaps) along the edges. Many people prefer carpet over hard-surface flooring types (such as hardwood, tile, or stone) in their bedrooms because it’s warmer and cozier. Carpeting also helps muffle sound, which may benefit those who have trouble sleeping.

On the other hand, some folks prefer the look of hardwood over carpet. People with allergies might also opt for non-carpeted flooring since carpet fibers can attract dust, dander, and other allergens.
