The first said, "St. Louis has hard water - you NEED a water softener." The second said, "St. Louis has great water - you DO NOT need a water softener." Mayo said, "What did the test results say? No one can tell you you need a water softener without testing your water first." BINGO. They tested our water and determined we DO NOT need a water softener. Same approach for our broken shower. The mayo plumber actually researched the issue, spending time with the paperwork and on the phone with the Kohler rep to determine exactly what we need to do, before making a wild guess and upselling us.
