We are not your typical heating, air conditioning and plumbing company, we are professional, but very low pressure. We understand how difficult it is to have a stranger in your home and we will always try to make your experience with our company as easy as possible. Additional contact name - Amy Davis. Additional DBA - Budget Air Conditioning Heating & Plumbing LLC, Midwest Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing, Midwest Hearth and Home.

"Here we go again ???, Hasn’t even been a year and my 2 yr old A/C unit is broken…..for the FOURTH time. Took 2 weeks to get someone out to even diagnose the problem. Have to wait again to make an appointment until after they get the part in which should hopefully be Friday…..3 weeks with no A/C….again, with a young child and disabled veteran with asthma in the house ? Turns out it’s a manufacturing defect, 4th time was the charm I guess….didn’t stop them from charging me the $70 dispatch fee though ? a brand new system I paid over $6,000 for, the 4th time in a little over 2 years it has needed fixing because of a manufacturing defect…..and they still charged me the fee ?. Same sentiment I had when I posted my last review here on 08/01/2022……Save yourself the stress and money….go with someone else, someone who won’t let you sit around for weeks at a time in a 90 degree house with a practically brand new system that is again nothing more than a paperweight ? Technician was awesome."

"Log the time they come in and leave: they will overcharge you a LOT!!! They may also have to come (like for me) three times before they advise you to replace the unit. But they will still charge you for everything pointless that they did before then. First visit: Added R22 and left. It didn’t work ($377.50) Second and third visits: Replaced capacitor and left. It didn’t work. Came back and condemned the unit as unfixable. ($185). This is Peter’s in Columbia, MO."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The cost to convert a wood fireplace to gas ranges from $500 to $5,500 on average, with most people paying $3,000 for a conversion. Both wood and gas fireplaces have pros and cons—gas fireplaces are easier to clean and maintain, while fires in wood-burning fireplaces are especially warm and cozy.

As long as a licensed professional installs your gas lines, you don’t have to do anything extra to prepare for cold weather. If there are pipes that require a wrap, your installer should have done it for you already. If you want to be absolutely sure your gas system is good to go for winter, the best option is to schedule a gas line inspection.

You may want to remove the gas line if it’s unsightly or if it’s causing a problem with future appliances. The downside is if you decide to go back to gas, you would need to run a new gas line to the area.  The average cost to run a new gas line is $550, but the installation can range anywhere from $120 to $1,350.

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. However, oil furnaces boast a higher BTU rate per hour, so a smaller amount of oil can heat a larger space when compared to a gas furnace.

No, homeowners should never attempt to fix a gas leak themselves. Gas leaks pose serious health and fire hazards. Exposure to leaking gas can make you sick, and accumulated gas can ignite and explode. So always take leaks seriously and seek the help of a pro right away. While you may be able to detect a gas leak, always call a licensed professional to handle repairs and replacements.
