"Good. They were on time, explained what they would be doing, estimated their time properly, and cleaned up after the work was completed. Their estimate was reasonable compared to others I received. Local, family-owned, which I always like to support in exchange for good service and skills. The true test of their results will be more evident after the next torrential rain."

"We had an emergency situation in our bathroom. They gave us an accurate quote and they quickly arrived at our home. They resolved the problem quickly and at the price they quoted. They were also very courteous. We would highly recommend them."

"A half-hour after I used Home Advisor to learn what companies would be able to relocate a gas line for my dryer, a Rivers City employee called me to arrange an appointment. My Home Advisor search was at night, and the phone call was at night. A technician was at my house about 11am the following day, quoted me a price, and perfomed the work."

"We called this contractor based upon previous reviews and was extremely pleased. We called at 1:00 to see if they could get there that day, but was already booked. But could make the next day of between 10:30 and 11:30. They said they would call before they came and at 10:30 they called and said would be there in a hour, which they were. Over the phone they gave a quote for the job to replaced a sump pump motor. The quote is exactly what they charged us. The work was done quickly. We were extremely please with the service and communications. We will definitely use them if needed again."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Yes, most states require a plumber to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Check our state licensing tool to review the local plumber guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

Appliances typically connected to a gas line include gas stoves, water heaters, furnaces, and gas fireplaces. Essentially, any appliance in your home that uses gas needs to be connected to a gas line, which connects your home with the main gas line owned and operated by your gas company.

Most likely, a gas plumber would be the best pro for many components in your home, and you might not even realize it. Natural gas plumbers are responsible for maintaining and installing natural gas lines, including installing appliances that use natural gas. These can include:

  • Fireplaces

  • Water heaters

  • Furnaces

  • Hot tubs

  • Clothes dryers

  • Ovens

  • Outdoor grills

Gas plumbers are also the pros that would handle a natural gas leak in your home, so it's essential to know the signs of a gas leak before it becomes a dangerous situation.

Built-in gas grills typically have a life span of 10 to 15 years. However, their longevity can vary based on quality, usage frequency, climate conditions, and maintenance routines. High-quality models made from durable materials tend to last longer. Additionally, regular cleaning, covering the grill when not in use, and conducting routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning burners and replacing worn-out parts can extend its life. A well-maintained built-in gas grill can provide excellent performance and memorable cooking experiences for a decade or more, making it a worthwhile investment for outdoor cooking enthusiasts.
