Eli arrive at 8:30 am as agreed and worked for approximately 6 hours scaping and cleaning the tub. He found a perfect ceramic finish on my old steel tub under all the paint and dirt. He said it was better to complete the cleaning and reglaze the ceramic tub vs. putting a finish on top ... which is what he did. He cleaned the paint off the soap dish and toilet roll holder too. "I contacted Marc to get a bid to do the work and he came out very quickly. I especially liked that he explained the entire process to us. The work was done as part of a complete bathroom remodel, so the actual scheduling was done by my contractor. It is safe to flush the toilet even if the pipes are frozen, and this may even help clear out the pipes. But if the supply line is frozen, the toilet won’t refill itself until it’s thawed out. You can still flush by pouring water into the tank to refill it.
Your toilet handle might not come back up if the nut is loose or the bolt threads are stripped. Try to tighten the mounting nut and wrap plumber’s tape around the handle bolt to fix stripped threads. It’s possible the handle was improperly installed. If that’s the case, you can use the instructions above to correct the handle’s position.

Yes, flushing a clogged toilet can make it overflow. While flushing the toilet may push enough pressure through the system to dislodge the clog, this is unlikely. Your best bet is to use a plunger and hope the suction can break up whatever is blocking the pipe. If this doesn’t work, use a plumbing auger or call a pro to help.
Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up.
Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.
