"Buying a home can be stressful, but the inspection process was one of the easiest parts. They showed up on time, were very thorough, and didn’t rush through anything. The report was detailed and easy to follow, and they took the time to explain everything they found without making it overwhelming. I really appreciated how patient they were in answering my questions and making sure I understood what needed attention. Overall, it was a great experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a home inspection."

"They did roof inspection and maintenance. A dozen shingles were replaced and the roof was caulked/sealed. Their response was timely, work was well done and the price was reasonable. Overall a good experience!"

"We were experiencing a musty odor in our lower level, and through Angie's List, called Advanta Clean.  The scheduling was prompt, and Brock was assigned.

Brock conducted a very thorough inspection.  Although he probably could have recommended an expensive remedy, he told us we only needed a dehumidifier.  He suggested the size, place of purchase, where we should install it, and in fact, how to Install it with vents.  NO CHARGE!
That's what's called customer service!!!!!!

Home Inspection questions, answered by experts

You can guarantee that you hire a professional home inspector by reviewing their qualifications, years of experience, customer reviews, and certifications before hiring. If you’re working with a realtor, they can recommend at least one trusted professional home inspector. You can always confirm the credentials of a home inspector by checking for affiliations with organizations like the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors or the American Society of Home Inspectors.

Permit fees sometimes include the cost of a solar panel inspection, but it depends on local regulations. In some locations, the inspection process involves several site visits with a preinstallation, in-progress, and post-installation inspection. We’ve covered the latter. Working with an experienced installer can help you through each step of the inspection process.

Generally, foundation cracks and repair are not covered by standard homeowners insurance policies. This type of damage is often considered normal wear and tear or a result of poor maintenance, which is the homeowner's responsibility. For example, damage caused by settling, shifting soil, or drainage issues is typically excluded.

However, there are exceptions. Coverage may apply if the foundation damage is a direct result of a covered peril, such as a house fire, a burst pipe, vandalism, or a vehicle accident. Coverage for natural disasters like earthquakes and floods often requires a separate, specific policy or add-on.

Most LED bulbs have a plastic covering, while incandescent bulbs will be made from glass. This is because LED bulbs don’t produce as much heat as incandescent bulbs, so the covering doesn’t need to be as heat resistant. Also, an LED light bulb will usually have a marking on its base that identifies it as an LED.

While the air inside your home should have some moisture—the ideal humidity level is between 30% and 50%—too much moisture can lead to issues. Some ways to tell if there’s too much moisture in your home include condensation inside your windows, mildew growth in the bathroom or mold on surfaces, peeling paint, or an uptick in allergy symptoms.
