Two sets of piers (one on front side and other on the side) were installed 4 months a part. Both installations went well. One side of the house was 1 3/4" lower than the other. JES was able lift that side 1" to reduce asymmetry. Jaime and DeShawn were incredibly professional and detailed in their explanations when we had questions.

Value Dry Waterproofing

Overall, services were performed well. The engineer sold us on the sump pump with their company versus other pump/drain types and versus excavation based on their quality and warranty. The main issue we had was responsiveness. After the pump install, I was informed the discharge pipe would be installed that saturday. They didn't show up and ended up completing the job 2 weeks after the pump install. The drywall re-install was completed ~ 1 week after pump install. However, it seems the general install quality was good. We shall see what happens when we have another downpour! Another issue we're running into is that we now need another contractor to reinstall the carpet, prep/paint the walls, and restain the baseboards. This isn't an issue with Value Dry; it's the expensiveness of fixing up everything to make it look the way it did before. I think prospective customers should understand there is a lot of work that needs to be done after Value Dry completes their job to make the rooms look like they originally did.

I was very happy with the work done. It wasn't cheap, but it's very good work. I now have a dry crawl space and peace of mind that my foundation will last for many years to come and I'm not constantly pumping out my crawl space every time it rains. They installed additional supports, poured a new footer, created an exterior entry into the crawl space, installed a sump pump and a dehumidifier as well as lining the interior brick with a waterproofing compound as well as installing drainage interior to the house. They even reinforced all the joists, both at the lateral and perpendicular, and installed lots of insulation. I can actually sleep well at night, for the first time in 9 months.

B-Dry extended the drain system in our basement including installing new drains in 2 window wells. This involved removing dry wall, floor covering and cement, installing the drain approx. 10'x 2' , replacing the concrete floor and connecting all drains together. They cleaned and repaired a third window well drain that they had installed in the 90's. They enlarged the sump pump well and provided and installed a new, more powerful pump and a back up battery system. They covered everything so that the concrete dust did not get on any of our belongings. They were prompt and professional and accommodated our schedule when we needed a delay. During the heavy rains of the past few days we remained dry as a bone in areas of our home that have been flooded in the past. We have learned to check our sump pump periodically to make sure it functions properly.

I was very happy with the experience. They installed a drain system around my basement with a sump pump and installed a waterproof barrier on the walls. They also sealed a crack with epoxy as well. I am so happy not to have to worry about this problem anymore! All in all it was an easy going and convenient experience.

This is an A+ company. Knowledgeable people, engaging and polite employees, quality work. Circumstances put me in a very tight schedule bind regarding the sale of and closure on my house. Employees at multiple levels of the company worked to get what I needed done on a rush basis. What would have taken six to eight weeks under normal operating procedures was wrapped up in under two weeks. Exceptional performance by a small company that fosters excellence all around. Not only would I not hesitate to use them again, I wouldn't really consider anyone else.

JES installed a sump pump and french drain encapsulated system in my basement crawlspace to correct repeated flooding in my basement. I asked them to come back out a week after installation because heavy rain again flooded my basement. JES figured out what was causing the problem and completely reworked the system and eliminated the flooding. There was no additional charge at all; they stood by their work and were not satisfied until I was satisfied! I highly recommend them.

JES Foundation Repair
5.0
Our overall experience with JES has been excellent. We contacted them back in November 2019 because we noticed some new cracks in our foundation and slight movement in one of the additions on the house after some heavy rains. The rains caused the ground to swell after a 3-4 weeks of no rain and shift the house. Sean was our systems designer and came out to evaluate the issues and made a plan for correcting them. He was responsive to our questions and came back to explain the process again to my husband who was not at the initial meeting. We also spoke with Ben who was helpful in answering additional questions about the work and lifetime warranty. Crystal ensured the work was scheduled at a time that worked for us and kept us updated during the permitting process. The work began in August 2020 and was a big job. They installed 14 push piers and 9 IntelliBraces. The installation team was Rudy Gonzalez (foreman), Victor Cruz (co-foreman) and Matthew (installer). All worked extremely hard. Even when several unforeseen issues can up in the work, such as the absence of footers where some push piers and intellibraces needed to be installed, and the obstruction of work areas by existing HVAC and plumbing fixtures, Rudy and his boss Moises spoke with us at length to help us understand the problems, and ultimately, still remained faithful to the work schedule and the price estimate that we were quoted. This was a major relief to us as we were on a tight budget for the project. This is a review of the work up until last day of installation. We will monitor the stabilization of the house and update this review if necessary, however the quality of work seems excellent so far. Given the experience we have had with JES this far in addition to the lifetime warranty for the work, we are confident that any issues will be dealt with promptly and professionally.

Levelift Foundations LLC
5.0
Perfectly. Levelift was easy to work with and very accommodating to my crazy schedule for a start date. In the end it turned out perfectly because even the weather agreed last week after a brutal winter. Monday morning the crew showed up as agreed and showed me the plan. The immediately began working on the outside part of the job, pulling out necessary shrubs and buses, digging holes for pier installation. The first day they installed 2 or 3 piers. Second day a crew came to take out part of the living room floor (this is another company I hired to do the inside finishing work once all the foundation work was completed) so that the fireplace and chimney could be stabilized properly. Later in the day the foundation crew began digging inside that hole. Third day they drilled out two holes in another adjoining room to install piers (that part of the house in built on a slab, remainder of house has crawlspace) as well as another hole under the back patio for final pier. They also began installing piers inside as well as completing pier installation on outside front of house. Fourth day they completed all pier installation and began refiilling holes with dirt, compacting each one tightly. Fifth day they poured concrete back over the two side room holes, replanted shrubs they had removed, and put topsoil over outside work area (could have chosen topsoil or mulch). Then they cleaned up everything. It looked better than when they started. The second crew from another company came in and began installing the new joists under living room floor and closing up the hole for the weekend. Levelift did a great job. Before deciding on a contractor I had also hired an individual structural engineer to evaluate the situation. The proposal Levelift presented was in sync with that report. I had also had two other companies bid on the job, but Levelift turned out to be the best fit. And the job they did was excellent.

CENTERSCAPE
5.0
My experience with CENTERSCAPE went exceptionally well!!! A little history: a few years ago, I had a very expansive patio installed in my backyard by (another company). I was so disappointed with that project, that I finally dismissed the contractor from the job and demanded he not return. He cut corners on many things and installed other things incorrectly. Very unprofessional. I WAS NOT looking forward to having another encounter with a hardscaping company. I needed, however, drainage holes installed, since the initial company installed NONE seven years ago!!! In walks Frank of Centerscape into my life!!! Not only was he professional and extremely knowledgeable, he was on time, cleaned up after the job, a good conversationalist, and despite running into some unforeseen problems that the initial company created, he stayed true to his price quote from a few days prior. Without a doubt, I will use CENTERSCAPE for ANY AND ALL other masonry/paver/hardscape projects in the future. Frank, I can't thank you enough. You're MY GUY, and have single-handedly restored my faith in your industry!!! BRING ON THE RAIN!!!

The assessment went great! The engineer was very professional and inspected my home and designed drawings for permitting. They then cut open my foundation wall and installed a large staircase and french doors at the bottom. All the work was exceptional quality and they even put grass seed down on the disturbed areas of my lawn. I show everyone that comes over our house! A++!!!

S&S Waterproofing And Foundation Repair

This was the most professional company I have ever worked with! No upselling, just an honest explanations from the company owner Steve of what my options we’re & the positive & negatives of each, from least expensive to most expensive. They did three separate major jobs for me! They were constantly on time, professional & did great work! I am a 76yrs old woman & had very little knowledge of what needed to be done. It’s exceptional to find a company like this in this age of greed & dishonesty. As a longtime homeowner I have dealt with many business like that! This company & Steve are definitely not like those!! Excellent, honest company in this day & age!

Advanced Engineering Construction

I was in the process of refinancing my house and was told I was in a flood zone and needed to have flood insurance. I contacted my insurance company and was told I should get flood vents installed and a site elevation to reduce the cost of the insurance. I researchd flood vents online and checked the FEMA website so I could understand the requirements. Then I got estimates from 3 different companies ranging from $2100 from Advanced Engineering Construction to over $12,000! One of the companies even told me that the only flood vents that were FEMA approved were the ones they installed. I took the quote from Advanced Engineering Construction to my insurance agent and asked if the vents met the FEMA requirement. The insurance agent told me they did, so I arranged for Advanced Engineering Construction to install them. Phil Carter and David Aubut came out to my house and evaluated the situation. Although they were backlogged with work, I told them I needed the vents installed before I returned to work in a week. Advanced Engineering Construction said they would install them within that timeframe and they did. They showed up on time, were very professional, and cleaned up the job site. I would highly recommend Advanced Engineering Construction. This is a company that has professional personnel who do what they say they will do, when they say they will do it...a company with integrity! They will also be installing a drainage system for my crawlspace over the summer.
