I had originally purchased a Groupon for another company for duct cleaning, they came out and did their work, and that technician found some more issues with my furnace that needed some more expertise. He said he had a colleague who was just the guy to help us. That’s where Richard came in! He came to my house on a Sunday and spent almost the entire day fixing our problem from start to finish. He explained everything he was doing in great detail, and even gave my husband some really helpful tips on what to do to maintain the work that was done. He even went above and beyond and fixed our screen door (which hadn’t latched properly since we bought our house) and told us how to fix our kitchen faucet. I was so pleased with the amazing service and great value. Highly recommend!

I contacted 6 contractors for bids on this work, which was long overdue. Our furnace was 43 years old and we have not had central air for 27years. The differences in price and size of equipment varied greatly among these contractors. Vitt Heating and Air Conditioning was a random choice. I knew they were in my neighborhood and had to be familiar with older south St. Louis homes. The owner Vic, came to the house to look and quote the work himself. Everybody else sent sales people, so this spoke volumes to me. Vitt was not the least expensive nor were they the most expensive, but after meeting with Vic, it seemed like he was very confident in his company's ability to get the work done. Let me say that in my own eyes, this was a monumental task considering the age and condition of the furnace and ductwork in particular. We needed to delay the work a few weeks to accommodate our schedules which seemed to be no problem. I had more questions in the interim and Vic was able to stop by and answer them for me which made me feel secure in my choice. When Vic arrived with one of his workers, they proceeded to take out the old furnace and ductwork on day one, and measure for the ductwork. They arrived on the second day in just after lunch because they had to fabricate the ductwork before coming over. They worked all afternoon on day two, and all day on the third day. There was a couple hours of work left to do on Saturday, which was really no big deal to us, because we did not want to rush them. I expressed to Vic while they were still working that I was impressed with what I was seeing and was thankful that I had picked him to do the work. He and his helpers were professional in every way as they went about their work. They took all cardboard boxes that the equipment came in and disposed of them off sight. I had asked them to leave the old furnace and ductwork in the yard for my neighbor which they did. They did an excellent job of cleanup, to the point you couldn't tell they had been there except for the new equipment. My wife and I are both extremely happy and would recommend them to anybody at any time

They were actually recommended by a friend. I had already had a disasterous experience with having my ducts cleaned and the whole house being contaminated with mold with someone else. Now my AC coil was leaking water inside the house. They replaced my furnace and the AC coil and the humidifier and cleared up the issues with the ductwork. I love my new 96% efficient furnace. They were totally responsive to any questions and just clearly knew what they were doing and were devoted to doing it right. I am planning to get the AC and furnace in my addition replaced by them in the next few months. I totally trust them. I may not have the dates and amounts exactly right but it is close

Tom came to my home after having 3 previous unsuccessful visits with other electricians who incorrectly diagnosed the problem and did not fix my issue for about 3 weeks. "Great! Mike was prompt, friendly, courteous. He was very thorough and pointed out some things including how old and decrepit and DANGEROUS my water heater was. That was something that has been in the back of my mind for a while. I knew it was way past it’s reasonable life, and I’m glad it’s made it this far, but I didn’t realize how dangerous it had become, so I’m thankful that he checked it and let me know. "I?ve used them for a long, long time and they were terrific. They did a great job for me. I had a maintenance contract with them and I don?t have it anymore. I don?t need the maintenance anymore because the HVAC is getting old. They would come and do maintenance on my HVAC. They were a great company, they came twice a year and cleaned it. I had nothing but the highest praise for them. They do twice a year in the Spring and the Fall. They are not coming this year because I am not going to renew the contract. It has nothing to do with them. They did a terrific job and always have. They would be a 5 on any category for me or as Angie?s List would say, they would be an ?A?. When I started using them I got the 5% or whatever Angie?s discount. Ever year thereafter, they would just go ahead and give me that same rate.

I like to do recurring maintenance, that keeps the units working better for a longer period. I can?t promise that yet, because I don?t know what?s going to happen yet when I buy the new HVAC unit. I am probably going to buy the new HVAC in about 6 months. I really don?t know what to say about that. I had an annual service contract and it covered two visits a year. I paid for the contract once a year.

<br /> The service rep?s name was John A. He?s the guy that?s been coming out routinely. I would use him just about anytime, anywhere. He?s real honest and very professional when he comes into the house. He?s a guy that puts on these little shoes when they walk in your house. He didn?t ask, he just puts them on before he comes in and he is very thorough. He doesn?t sit around and talk, he goes right to work. When he gets to the end and goes over everything he?s done, he will talk. Like if you ask him questions, he doesn?t make you feel like your rushing him. He?ll answer any questions you have, but he?s not there to chit chat, he is there to work. I like that is ready to stop and answer any questions you may have. He is a quality guy.

"Our air conditioner failed on the evening of August 11, 2021. We called around 9 PM and got a live person on the phone. He arranged for service early the next day. The weather was very hot. Technician arrived when promised, shortly after 9 AM. He replaced the capacitor and got us up and running shortly thereafter. We have a maintenance agreement, so we have elevated expectations of a service response. However, we appreciate how quickly Fresh Air resolved our problem.
