We provide a proper installation of Carpet, Sheet vinyl, Vinyl Plank, and Laminate. We are a small business; I personally have been in the floor construction industry for over 12 years. I am on every job with my guys, if not installing I am supervising. We thrive on doing it the right way, no short cuts. We are a 5-star company on other social media platforms. We don't expect to ever change that.

"Excellent Work done by Kate and Crew at our business. We are now doing LVP and Carpet in our home and would not use anyone else. Professional, Timely, Quality, Neat sums it up!"

Professional tile and stone installer, with over 25 years of experience. I am a owner and operator. I'm dependable and trustworthy installer, my word means a lot to me. Also install LVT and laminate flooring. Thank you for your interest.

"I hired Jason Dagerstrom (JD Tile & Stone) based on The Tile Shop's local pro installers list. He did a small kitchen backsplash job and totally botched it. Crooked/uneven grout lines, lots of chipped tiles that looked like they were cut with a dull blade, lots of small slivers of tile pushed and pasted in, grout not mixed or applied thoroughly (grainy in spots, smooth in others), jagged/uneven edge cut, just a really sloppy job. We most likely will demo it off the wall and replace with new tile. He was sloppy, an amateur, bad prep, bad tile lines, bad grouting, just a mess. Blamed it a lot on the tile we bought from Home Depot. It wasn't the tile."

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpet is most often affixed to the floor by tacks in tack strips rather than nailed or glued directly to the subfloor. The tack strips are nailed to wood subfloors. Even if you want to install carpet over concrete, you’ll adhere the tack strips to the concrete with masonry nails or a liquid adhesive.

Because carpet tiles are designed to adhere to the subfloor directly, it’s usually not a good idea to install padding under them. Some carpet tiles come with padding attached to the tile if you prefer a cushier walking experience. In some cases, you can use a compact underlayment beneath your tiles, but you would likely need help from a pro to accomplish this type of installation.

It’s a good idea to install a rug pad under the carpet for your stairs. To make the pad fit, you’ll need to cut one section for each stair tread that’s about one inch narrower than the stair runner so that it won’t be visible once the carpet is installed on top.

If you’re using a carpet runner instead of a traditional carpet, pay attention to your width measurements. Instead of measuring the total width of your staircase with 2 added inches for foldover, simply measure the width you’d like the runner to cover. Runners generally come in standard sizes, so you may need to approximate what would look best in your space.

In order to avoid long-lasting waves, indents, or sticking, it’s a good idea to wait at least 24 hours after fresh carpet is laid to put weighty furniture on top of it. However, you can begin walking on your new carpet right after it’s installed, and doing so can actually help it adhere to the floor better.
