"Worm Drywall did an excellent job on my remodel. His drywall hanging crew did not come equipped to protect my home from the drywall dust, so I covered the floors myself. The finisher (Troy) did an excellent job of "bagging" off the room during the mud and tape process, but he was so good that there was very little dust from that process anyway. The majority of the disruption and dust generation was from the hanging process. They were super fast, but spread a lot of dust throughout the house. They should cover floors and tape off doorways in an effort to keep the rest of the home clean."

You can paint over plaster, but repair any damage to the plaster first, or the paint will crack and bubble. You should also prepare the surface of the plaster to accept paint, which gives your paint job the best chance of looking good and lasting a long time.
