Rabbits have a penchant for plants, relishing herbs, veggies, fruits, and grasses. Common herbs like mint, basil, and cilantro are fair game for rabbits. In fact, leafy greens such as mint and thyme are rabbit favorites. Not only do bunnies find it yummy, but it packs health benefits when consumed in small amounts.

While the term “gnat” is often used as a blanket term for tiny flying insects like fungus gnats and fruit flies, they are different insects. The primary distinctions are in their appearance, diet, and habitat. Fungus gnats are typically darker (gray or black) with long legs and are attracted to damp soil and decaying plant matter, often living in houseplants. In contrast, fruit flies are lighter in color (tan) with shorter legs and are drawn to overripe fruit, high-fructose organic substances, and other sweet materials.

Fruit flies aren’t harmful by themselves, and they can’t bite or sting you. They can, however, spread bacteria around your home and can be a nuisance to live with. That’s why it’s important to eliminate fruit fly infestations quickly and enact preventative measures to keep them out of your house.

Having bugs in our houses is quite normal. However, if you notice a sudden uptick in quantity, there's often a reason behind it. Seasonal weather changes, particularly warm to cool, drive bugs indoors as they look for comfort. Structural damage to your home can open up new ways for them to get in, and a new water leak somewhere in the house can invite them to get comfortable.
