"I received Jamie's name from a Perham paint supplier. Upon receiving my text, Jamie responded immediately. I sent him my address and a few pics of the house. Even though I wasn't able to meet with him that night. He came out to inspect the house for bid. He sent a couple questions, which I replied.I returned home that evening to a bid on my phone. Impressive, I thought. When can you start? Monday he replied. I have a two story house 4,600 sq ft. It took two weeks to complete. Not only was the job done to my satisfaction. They went above my expectations. I was so pleased that i added a few hundred dollar tip as a thank you bonus. Respectful, considerate, focused! That was our experience!"

"Scott was wonderful, he called right away to get us an estimate, he was able to get us on his schedule in a very timely manner, started right on time and was very particular about his work. Because we are retired we were home while Scott was working,he is very professional and personable. We wouldnâ t call anyone else for painting. We definitely give him a 10+!!! R&K Wagner"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Pricing depends on prep work, paint/stain choice, area size, scaffolding needs, and detailed trim inclusions like precision-balanced windowsills.

On most untreated wood fences, there is no need to sand before treating. You typically only need to sand if there’s an old coat of paint or stain on your fence. If you do need to sand off a previous paint or protective coating (like an old stain or sealant), use medium-grit sandpaper.

If possible, it is beneficial to paint both sides of your fence to protect the fence more completely from the elements. Painting both sides of your fence will create a more consistent appearance as well. However, the time and cost involved in painting both sides of the fence may cause people to paint only the side they see.

The best finish for wrought iron railings is either a semi-gloss or a gloss sheen, as each offers good durability against rain, wind, heat, cold, and snow.

The best type of paint to use for chain link fences is an oil-based paint. Oil-based paints are durable and will withstand the elements well. Search for an oil-based paint with rust protection and aluminum flakes to further protect the longevity of the fence.
